The old one started grinding and not printing and could not be repaired. I was disappointed with the new one as the paper tray was not operating properly--when putting in new paper, the drawer that rolled open to hold printed pages was not fully opening. Fortunately, I could replace that part with the same part from my old printer and it now operates correctly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't remember how long we had our previous HP printer/copier/fax, but it never failed us. It finally gave up supplying the blue ink on demand and my wife needed full color printouts for work. We donated same to a veterans organization since they did not require full color copies/printouts for veterans assistance. She is till chuggin' for the vets. This HP printer fell right in to it's duty station and picked up where the previous HP printer had performed so well.
