Cons: need to connect phone & printer to a separate hotspot when wanting to print something online. So need to download it first if you want to use mobile hotspot. Can't receive fax. Can't test fax from mobile. Have to connect phone & printer to a separate hotspot in order to use fax option. Can't test fax directly from mobile phone. Pros: it's an all in one.
The printer is great. Works with our iPhones & iPad also, as the old one didn’t.
Only complaint I have is that the output tray that auto extends does not retract automatically. Since it sticks out farther on the printer, you are more likely to bump into it and break it. Although we can manually push it back in (there is some resistance), it would be better if it automatically retracted after the print job.
I needed to replace my 10 year old all in one, and the Envy Photo 7855 performs all the necessary functions quite well. The LCD for the printer is quite small which might make manually faxing challenging (only because the numbers are so small). Other than that it is easy to set up and I look forward to a productive experience with the Envy 7855.
I bought this printer a few weeks ago and it set up flawlessly. The point quality is very good and photos are very easy to print. While mostly used for home based business it is very rewarding to see such ease and excellent quality pictures being printed with a touch of the button!
Just bought my ENVY Photo 7855 about a week ago, replacing my old PhotoSmart 7520, and I’m really glad I did. It’s easier/better designed, faster, and I’m loving the Instant Ink program is far, even though I went over my limit by printing out 2 copies of the entire script of HAMILTON. | -] I ordinarily don’t print such big jobs, so I’m unconcerned, and I also think it’s going to make the ink maintenance a no-brained ... no shopping, no running out. If this printer proves to be even nearly as good as my PhotoSmart 7520 (and it certainly seems to be), I will be very happy — and happily recommend it to others.
So far so good. Getting used to it as it took a while to get it going with my computer. I like being able to print things when needed. I don't use it every day but still good to have it.
