Liked my HP 4630 better this was very complicated

This printer was very difficult to set up! My tech man had to download missing drivers andnhad difficulty with wireless. It took an experienced man 5 hours to set it up! Not happy!

I bought the Envy 7855 to replace an HP 8450 that lasted over 10 years. I did a lot of research and it appears that people who give it low ratings have difficulty setting it up; I found it simple and straight forward. Connected it to an iMac, MacBook Pro, 2 iPhones, and 2 iPads within 30 minutes. Prints from all devices with no issues.
As a photographer, I was looking for an all in one to mostly print documents and an occasion photo. Printed a greyscale photo of an old wedding photo from70 years ago from Photoshop; despite the minimum options for printing, the resulting print had no color cast and looked like what was on my computer screen Amazing!
Signed up for the instant ink program. We’!! see how that goes but I am not expecting any issues.

This is a great product for home use with moderate to high activity of printing, copying, scanning and faxing. Easy set up with clear and concise instructions that make it truly WiFi plug and play. Highly recommend and would definitely purchase another when the time comes.

I've owned and used at least a dozen HP printers in my life. This is my second HP printer in the Envy series and I have to say, I'm not impressed with this one. Should have done more homework, but was swayed by the "Photo" in the name. The quality is okay, but what I really don't like is that there is no borderless printing. And, I've never had a printer go through so much ink either. The automatic paper feed and scanner are fantastic though.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
