The set up process was not easy. Even after downloading software, there is no easy way to finish the set up. I couldn't sign up for instant ink But the setup directed me to my wireless router, which I don't need to connect to. Isn't there a wireless direct mode. Just connect from my computer to the printer. The set up did not work. What should I do now?

First, I'll clarify that you can indeed connect your printer directly to your computer. To do so, you can reference the 'Change the Connection Type' portion on page 43 of your printer's user guide: h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05643392.pdf
As for troubles with signing up for Instant Ink, I recommend contacting our Instant Ink team for next steps. You can call them at +1 855‑785‑2777 and they would be more than happy to help.

Bought this because my last one started going bad. Was assured this was the same level as the HP I was replacing. It prints but the paper tray is hard to open and doesn’t have the quality feel I was expecting.
This printer is a replacement for an older model HP Printer that I had. It does all that I need from a printer. I don't do any faxing so that is a feature that I had on my previous printer that I did not need or use. My previous printer had 5 ink cartridges where this printer only needs 2. I'm looking forward to the savings $$$. HP support could not be better. They did a remote session and installed my printer while I sat by and watched the Tech do his thing! Works flawlessly...Very happy with this purchase!!!
I went through THREE printers, and it still did not work. They eventually upgraded me because they could not figure out the problem. I know this printer is cheap, but DO NOT BUY!

I don't have a lot to print, scan, copy or fax but because of where I live it is so much easier to do from home. Set up was simple and HP Instant ink delivers to my house. A very small price to pay for the print quality and features. This product is a perfect fit for me.
