[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The printer is easy to set-up. Having the mobile app truly helps with the set-up, printing and scanning. Also, the display screen is great as it allows you to see the status of printing and ink levels. One thing that I found missing was a tray for scanning multiple sheets. I wanted to scan a document with multiple pages and found it inconvenient. The printer isn`t bulky, so it can be placed easily on a shelf. With it`s wireless capabilities, you don`t even need to have the printer in the same room as your computer. The paper tray doesn`t hold as many sheets as expected either.

HP Envy 5055 All-in-One Printer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. This is a multifunction wireless printer that features capabilities to print, copy, and scan from multiple devices. Printing from anywhere is made easy with the ability to email files directly to the printer itself. Setup was fairly easy, although the directions included with the printer were not written exceptionally clearly. Even with having to figure things out on our own, it only took about 30 minutes from unboxing to printing. Details related to specific printer features:Printing This is our primary use, and we have printed both from our laptop and our Android phones. Black and white as well as full-color printouts are crisp and fast. We especially appreciate the "quiet mode" function. Although the printer is not exceptionally loud, this extra feature is nice when printing while our baby is sleeping nearby. Printing speed is slowed slightly in quiet mode but not considerably. Understandably, pictures come out best when printed on photo paper versus plain copy paper. This is not a photo printer; pictures will be pixelated when viewed closely, but the quality is good enough for everyday printing.Scanning In order to scan documents, you must use your connected device to start the scan rather than pushing a button on the printer itself. This hasn`t been a big deal, and scans are accurate and fast.Copying Copy quality is the same as print quality and just as fast. It`s a nice feature to have for those times when you need one or two quick copies of a document.HP Smart Software HP`s software is installed on any device that is linked to the printer. You have the option to print using the HP application or from any program just as you would a normal printer that is connected with a cable. Wireless Connectivity This is our first wireless printer, and overall we are very satisfied with its performance. It stays connected to our home network, so as long as the printer is on (or in standby), we can print from literally anywhere. However, there was one issue that we encountered. After initial installation, we started getting an error that the printer was offline, even though it wasn`t. A quick search on HP`s help page revealed that this is a known issue for Windows 8 and 10, and required the installation of an additional program to fix the problem. Since it is a known issue, we felt that at minimum there should have been a disclaimer in the installation documents about it. Although the problem was relatively quick and easy to fix, it was a frustration having a problem at all with a brand new printer.Overall impressions:Pros Wireless printing is super convenient and allows the printer to be located anywhere in the house. Print quality is good enough for home use and print speed is fairly quick for an inkjet printer. Scanning and copying functions are an added bonus.Cons Known connectivity issue was a source of frustration, and photo printing isn`t the best quality out there (to be fair, it is not advertised as a photo printer). Although not heavy, this is also a rather large printer and finding an appropriate location can be an issue. The paper tray is also on the small side, holding around 30 sheets of paper.TL/DR 4/5 Stars. Even with a few minor issues, this is a good quality printer and would recommend.

Small but packs a punch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the HP ENVY 5055 All-In-One Printer because I was in need of a new printer. After using it for about two weeks, this is what I can say about it. The always on WiFi connection, which allows me to print from any of my devices is my favorite feature by far.I use cloud base storage a lot due to work and I am always need to print things. Knowing that I could save my documents in the cloud at work, and access them from any of my devices(laptop, desktop, phone or tablet) makes life easier for me. The device is rather small , I was not expecting all these features on something so sleek. I was able to place it next to my desktop and still have room for other things. Every printer I had before was big and bulky. I was under the impression that if you wanted a feature packed printer, it had to be huge. Glad that`s not the case anymore. Set up was a breeze, I actually installed it over WiFi with my phone. Connected to WiFi, downloaded the app, and set up wizard took over. I was able to go from opening the box to printing in less than 10 minutes. It includes a usb cable and power cable, I don`t even have the usb cable connected since I have it over WiFi. This is a pretty complete package, the only thing I would can complain about is that I got the black one and it would look better in white since my computer build is mostly white. All in all two thumbs up from me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically dread installing any new technology, but this HP Envy 5055 All in One was completely painless. Each step appears with detail on your phone and there are not too many steps. Once installed, we were able to wirelessly print from all phones and computers in the house. It has made everything so much easier. No jams or issues as of yet and all of our print outs come out clear and crisp. I would highly recommend this product.

Worst HP printer in 20 years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this printer for a couple of months and have had nothing but trouble since. This is our 5th HP printer in 20 years and this is the worst one we have ever had. Today I printed something out and it was fine. All of a sudden, it told me there is a cartridge problem and to remove and reinstall the cartridges, which I have done at least s6 times. and it still will not print. I either need a new printer or at least some help as to what could be wrong. It was working fine this AM and then now it is not.

Having trouble with instant Ink cartridges

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My printer started refusing to print telling me I cannot print until I enroll in HP instant ink, but I am already enrolled. They are properly installed, the firmware is up to date, my instant ink shows my printer correctly and says I am enrolled, but the printer says I cannot print. Very frustrating.

Finally a printer that works as advertised

The printer has been in use for about a month. Installation went well. Finally no "bloat-ware" that takes over the computer. I really like how it connects to the home wifi quite easily. Print speed and quality are outstanding. This new printer replaced a previous HP printer that lasted 5 years. The HP printers before it were always a challenge due to "bloat-ware" and frequent jamming. Its a keeper.
