No water dispenser light, ice only light, closeout

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Refrigerator working good but has filtered water but not filtered ice, "I drink ice water". And has Despenser light for ice but "no" light for water dispenser?? Messy!

Only 1 Issue (Ice and Water Buttons)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only issue is the dimensions of the ice and water maker. The opening does not fit larger cups to fill with ice and the water button and Ice button are very close. The size is great and the all other aspects of the fridge are great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ice and water disperser not user friendly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have three issues with this fridge but just haven't been able to ask for maintenance to come.
1) The refrigerator is louder (when it is in normal operating mode).
2) The ice dispenser on the unit dispenses ice in your cup/container and on the floor.
3) When dispensing ice the water button gets engaged thus putting water in the drip tray and down the front of the refridgerator.

Deep door shelves, great lighting &... ice cubes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 18 year old GE side-by-side refrigerator died so I had to get a new refrigerator quickly and all GE side-by-sides were not available for next day delivery. I found this Whirlpool side-by-side that is slightly smaller than my old refrigerator and could be delivered the next day so really didn't have a choice and bought it sight unseen.
I'm not crazy about the shiny white cabinet and door handles that easily show fingerprints and dirt. My old refrigerator was textured so hid that mostly. The lighting in this refrigerator is AMAZING compared to my old refrigerator and everything is well lit but it is also not as full of food as my previous refrigerator used to be so time will tell on that. I'm still not sure if I like the glass shelves that are only framed in plastic on the sides and don't go all the way to the back of the refrigerator. I'm waiting for something small to fall through the crack at the back.
The documentation (both that came with the refrigerator (very minimal) and what I could find online (formatting is TERRIBLE!)) for the temperature controls is very confusing. I finally figured it out but after I got the refrigerator temperature set to "ideal" I checked the refrigerator temp yesterday and it was 32 degrees Fahrenheit (that is freezing temp) so reset it to be one setting warmer than "ideal" and will see how that works out. The freezer temp is set at also what is recommended and is showing about 3-4 degrees Fahrenheit which is well below freezing.
My old refrigerator had a meat drawer that I kept for lunch meat and bread plus two fruit & vegetable drawers. Since this refrigerator does not have a meat drawer I use the bottom fruit/vegetable drawer for meat/bread and that seems to be working out okay so far. Both drawers are smaller than my previous refrigerator because of the expanded size of the shelves on the door.
At first I wasn't crazy about the deeper refrigerator door shelves. With my old refrigerator I would grab hold of the door shelf and pull to shut the door. I tried that without thinking on this refrigerator's empty shelves but the shelf came off in my hand and slid across the kitchen floor. But now with the shelves loaded with jars, bottles and cans I don't worry about that as much but I am still careful when I use the shelf to close the door. After using this refrigerator for a few weeks I find that I really like the deep door shelves because they hold a LOT more than my previous refrigerator and what I want is easier to find than when it is stuck at the back of a shelf in the refrigerator.
The ice maker is HUGE compared to my old refrigerator and takes up the whole top of the freezer. I do love the ice cubes although I'm not crazy about the separate water & ice dispensers and the ice dispenser takes some force to get it to work with my soft plastic container that I use to get ice cubes. I looked online before the refrigerator arrived to see what the ice cube shape would be and it said "crescent" (same as my old one) but they are about 1 inch squares that taper slightly on the sides. They don't fit my old kombucha bottles that I was using for ice water but was able to buy new water bottles with wide mouths which are so fast and easy to load with these square ice cubes.
Where the door shelves in the refrigerator are deep the freezer door shelves are much shallower than my old refrigerator and don't hold much of anything. But the freezer shelves and lighting are much better than my old one so it seems that I can hold a lot more food in this one.
Time will tell how this refrigerator holds up but so far I am happy with the change from my old refrigerator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this & I am sorry I did! The first one was SO NOISY that I had to have them come back & take it away! The second delivery driver said that these are known to be sitting around in warehouses so long that they get moved around a lot. The second one still makes a noise but not as much as the 1st one. So BEWARE!
