[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago to replace one that had been leaking for 5 years. Although it was still running well, some parts had broken. This one has a nice, bright light, smooth opening and closing doors. It is a good size though slightly smaller than my last one. Hope it lasts a long time. I chose Whirlpool because my dishwasher is a Whirlpool and has cleaned well for a long time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfect for our Home

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator came with the new house I purchased in April. It does exactly what we need it to do. It may seem simple but the fact the water dispenser sits further out than the ice dispenser just makes sense.....my children likes to fill these large bottles of water before their sport activities and they don't have to worry about spilling water when their finished filling.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Troubling

We’ve had this fridge for about 15 months. The ice machine makes a super loud sound often. A technician came to check it and said the ice builds up in the back and that’s what causes the sound. We have been woken up in the middle night by the loud sound and we have to disconnect the fridge. Luckily we have a deep freezer otherwise, our frozen food would have gone to waste.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Continued Disappointment!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ongoing issues with the ice and water dispenser. Ice cubes will unknowingly get caught in the dispenser and then melt, causing water to run down the front of the freezer door and onto the floor! This is nit only ruining the stainless steel door due to hard water (which obviously isn’t being addressed with the water filter that is changed at recommended intervals) but is now ruining the tile floor and has caused a slipping hazard!
Also, food items placed on the top shelf of the refrigerator closest to the freezer side freeze, despite the refrigerator being set at the “Ideal” temperature setting.

1. The Ice Maker
An active ice maker without a water supply can cause the refrigerator to over-cool, leading to frozen food, especially in the crisper drawers. Ensure the ice maker is OFF or connected. A power cycle or reset may resolve minor glitches.
2. Temperature Controls
A freezer set too cold (below the factory default of 0°F) often makes the refrigerator too cold. Set the refrigerator to 37°F and the freezer to 0°F. Wait 24 hours after any adjustment for stabilization.
3. Airflow and Vents
Cool air from the freezer enters the refrigerator through vents. Blocked vents or items placed directly in the cold air path (the "Freeze Zone") will cause freezing. Clear all vents and avoid placing sensitive items like milk near the air stream.
4. "Fast Cool" Feature
The temporary "Fast Cool" or "Quick Chill" feature, if left on, can overcool the section. Check your control panel to ensure this mode is disabled.
5. Thermostat Sensor
If the temperature sensor is blocked by food, it incorrectly reads the air temperature, causing the compressor to run too long and resulting in freezing. Ensure there is approximately 2 inches of clear space around the sensor.
