Inferior to replaced Whirlpool side by side

Inferior to similar Whirlpool side by side I replaced this week. No deli drawer, door bins are cheap (I replaced them with the better ones from the old model), drawers slide roughly (poor finish on sliding surfaces), no storage on upper freezer door due to redesign of ice maker, no rheostat to adjust temps (just 4 settings, 3 for freezer), lower grill inset to it looks like the fridge is set on blocks, a few inches taller so wife can not longer reach the bread box we set on top, door hinges redesigned so the doors open wider than the fridge, dispenser light is worthless, it does not illuminate cups when dispensing water, dispenser icons are lit all the time (why?), ice cubes are smaller. On top of that, the Whirlpool website has no phone number or other means to contact a salesperson who has good product knowledge. After 30 minutes of trying all the phone numbers I could locate, I emailed HQ. And then the person who called reiterated the same wrong product info that was on the website.

Excellent.. BUT...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Clean refrigerator, and I love the inside. Performs well and VERY roomy inside. Door shelving is great and I like it much more than the old unit. HOWEVER... one of the main features I use many times a day is the in door ice/water. My standard 7" glass has to be tipped and inserted past the water trigger. Holding the glass at about a 60 degree angle, more often than not, I get my hand washed. Water down the door and on the floor. Next time, I take a glass to the appliance store. Overall, I am happy with the refrigerator, but the in door ice and water dispenser, well, the designers were non break that day.

Features good if in working order.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator 8/1/2025. The ice maker stopped ejecting ice onto the ice bin 8/29/2025. It has been operational less than 30 days. This is not acceptable. The refrigerator should be replaced.

Great Fridge
