Overall a good refrigerator, but one flaw!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had the Whirlpool fridge for about a month now and so far so good. Our only complaint is that the freezer compartment had a very loud vibratory hum, that was intermittent but annoying. I was finally able to figure out that it was one of the lower freezer wire shelves that apparently makes contact with a metal "cover" in the back wall of the freezer compartment. It is properly seated within the factory "slots" but would not stop the vibration "growl". I was able to stop the noise by forcing a scrap piece of neoprene-type material between the wire shelf and the aforementioned metal back plate. Since doing that, the refrigerator is very quiet. Overall, we are happy with the purchase.

Nice fridge but freezer needs help

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator is big with plenty of room for everything. It would fit all the food a large family would need. The shelves are easy to move and the cooling thermostat is easy to use.
But the freezer needs help. The problem is the ice maker takes up all the room on the top shelf. It really needs to move into the door allowing easy use of the top shelf.
I still recommend this refrigerator as a buy.
