Door opens too wide

The refrigerator door has no catch to just open partway first. When the door opens it has a tendency to swing very wide, hitting the dinning room chair sitting in the side of it. Eventually the door will have a dent in it for continually wanting to swing too wide. It would be nice if there was an intermediate stopping point first before the wide swing open.
Also the ice maker continues to drop ice cubes onto the floor well after dispensing ice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For some reason the ice maker is slow to make ice. Fridge is in a vacation home only 3 months old. Guess I will have a ser. Call in the spring.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought to replace old Whirlpool of same capacity. Storage design seems to be a less efficient use of interior space. Ice maker slow to produce ice.

Good overall, slow ice-maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace a similar Whirlpool that I had for 15-20 years with no issues until it finally quit working. The old one made ice really quickly and a lot of it! This one takes a really long time to make just a few cubes (I had to send someone out to buy a bag of ice for a Christmas dinner because we ran out almost immediately with only about 10 people). The other thing I miss is the small meat/cheese drawer. I just assumed that all refrigerators had one, but this one doesn't. All in all, it's an okay purchase for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator and it was delivered 2 weeks ago. It isn't the same Quality that we used to get. You can tell all the metal is lighter. Runs good and cold and ice maker does a good job. This is a noisy unit. I would say it is the noisiest refrigerator i have ever owned. I think I would spend a little more next time for a quieter unit.
