Icemaker

I bought this model about 3 years ago. Last month I noticed that the icemaker wasn't making any ice and that water wasn't flowing into the tray, so I decided to replace the whole icemaker unit and also the water filter. The drinking water is flowing ok now, but still not on the ice tray, that's why it's still not producing ice. Any suggestions on what is happening? Thank you.

What I don't like about it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For some reason, the automatic ice maker will do nothing more than make enough ice to cover the bottom of the ice bin. We constantly run out of ice. And there's only 2 of us using it.

Quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how quiet this fridge is compared to my last. The only thing I really hear is the ice dumping every once in a while. It also doesn't show fingerprints and has a decent amount of room. I had to deduct a star b/c there is a small defect (couple of scratches or a knick) on one of the handles that is eye level and drives me crazy.

We love it and just perfect for us now retired Will need a new a washing machine and it will be a whirlpool also

Door opens too wide

The refrigerator door has no catch to just open partway first. When the door opens it has a tendency to swing very wide, hitting the dinning room chair sitting in the side of it. Eventually the door will have a dent in it for continually wanting to swing too wide. It would be nice if there was an intermediate stopping point first before the wide swing open.
Also the ice maker continues to drop ice cubes onto the floor well after dispensing ice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
