Don't do it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have that are 12 oz or smaller, this fridge is great for you. My biggest pet peeve with this fridge is the design and overall functionality. For starters, the water is in the worst possible location you can put a water dispenser. It sits flush with the exterior of the door. So you grab your water, moments later, the water trickles out and literally lands on the door edge gliding itself down the door. Imagine after 10 fill ups, you have a nice streak. Yes, you can clean it. But who wants to wait for the trickle to then wipe the water off. The second thing is the size they give you for the ice dispenser. Terrible design. Fill up your big cup from whoever you got it from, nope. Denied. Just save yourselves from aggravation. Skip this model no matter how good that price is. The fridge and freezer work great though. That's good at least.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Refrigeration/great! Water dispenser/horrible!

I love the refrigerator and freezer part of this product. It cools and freezes great, space is great, layout of refrigerator shelving and/or space is well designed.
However, whoever designed the water dispenser extended the drip zone from the actual water dispenser to drip OUTSIDE of the well that holds the water drips and the ice that falls from the ice dispenser, and down the front of the stainless steel surface.
The water drip is creating an UGLY MESS on the front of the stainless steel base of the refrigerator. It already looks damaged and I have only had it about 2 1/2 months. what will it look like A year from now. I am constantly wiping and cleaning the front of the refrigerator applying baby oil to the stainless steel surface multiple times a day trying to keep from ruining the front of the refrigerator.
I actually would like for whirlpool to replace this product as I asked for stainless steel appliances for the beautiful look it created in the kitchen, however the water buildup on the front of the refrigerator looks horrible.

Straight Forward Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently replaced all of our kitchen appliances with Whirlpool. Not only do they look fantastic, they are quiet, user friendly and quality appliances. The side by side refrigerator replaced a 20 year old one that the compressor died of old age. The shelf capacity and storage is abundant. It is so great to have a Ice/water dispenser again! It runs quiet and makes ice quite quickly! We also bought the flat top electric range and the compact microwave oven that actually fits above our stove top!! Thank you very much Whirlpool for coming up with that crafty compact over the range microwave!!

The features are terrible and nonfunctional

1. there is no cover or grill for the hinges of the doors. Ugly to look at.
2. The door shelves are too wide and every bottle I put on them falls over when the door is open or closed.
3. One of the shelf appears to be missing. If not missing, to adjust the shelf to the extra notch makes one area too big and the other area too small.
4. The ice dispenser is directly behind the water dispenser. I hit the water every time I want ice and have to wipe up the spill. This is a poor design! Unacceptable!!!

Water dispenser is poor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My water dispenser is terrible! You can’t read a glass on the tray and expect it to fill up, you have to stand there and hold it. By the second 16oz glass the water isn’t cold. It drops down the front of the fridge leaving water lines, cheap, cheap, cheap. It only came with two shelves for the door of the refrigerator so I’ll have to purchase another. Items next to the freezer are super cold and cut up fruit will freeze.
