[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This appliance came with my newly built house. I have used it for almost exactly five months. It has been mostly great, it's a refrigerator/freezer and generally seems to be performing these activities. I hate hate hate the huge gap behind the lower refrigerator shelves. Items are constantly falling in there, sometimes going bad if I don't notice they fell out of my sight. Also, I immediately had issues with this ice coagulating in the icemaker. Nothing I tried from the manual troubleshooting section worked. Whirlpool was great and set up a visit by a technician (of course, it's under warranty). The tech was thorough, but found nothing wrong with the appliance. He "thinks" that my limited use of the ice dispenser is causing a ventilation issue with the automatic defroster (or something like that). The fix? I have to dump my ice out of the icemaker a few times a week to keep the issue from re-occurring. I guess this is an easy fix but it is one more thing to add to my to-do list and is an annoyance. This should be visited and improved on by the designers/engineers?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought this about a month ago. I love the space it provides. The ice maker works great. I just dislike that there is no where for excess ice to dissolve.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this Whirlpool fridge a month or so ago. Exact replacement of the 17 year old Whirlpool we had. Everything works well and is what we expected other than how loud it is. When the compressor kicks on it is loud enough to wake me up (light sleeper).
