nice inside features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this with our home purchase and it’s a great fridge. The only issue I have is sometimes when getting ice, we accidentally hit the water dispenser so water comes out as well. Wish it was either a button together to change or setup differently.

Fridge door swings open uncontrollably

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an ok fridge that was purchased by previous home owners. However, we are the first users of this appliance. Although the technicians came to rectify this malfunction, it was disappointing to note that the door handle had been incompletely assembled with 1 or 2 screws missing. The doors were also not aligned. The Whirlpool technician fixed this issue.
Pros; Looks presentable. Can easily insert water filter.
Cons; Fridge door swings open uncontrollably, causing strain to the hinges. Whirlpool technician could not fix this and confirmed that he owns the same fridge and that's how the door opens. Freezer door is not as bad but opens similarly. For us this is a major flaw, as technology has advanced to ensure door restraining mechanisms.
The ice dispenser splashes ice to the floor even when carefully holding the cup to ensure no spillages occur. This results in consistent wiping of the floor and fridge door (that may result in spillage or drip lines).

This might is not the manufacture problem per-se, but will guide other consumers, as I would have not chosen this model if I had purchased on my own. The fridge does not connect to wifi and does not have an LCD screen. The volume of the fridge is rather small even for a small family, especially the freezer side. If you need more space and more glamour, this is definitely not the model for you.
I have used Whirlpool for years and this is the first time I wished I could swap an appliance for a better brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
