has several shortcomings

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The adjustments for shelves are not flexible enough. They are spaced too far apart, resulting in wasted space. It would be nice to have a cheese and meat bin. Having the ice dispenser positioned behind the water dispenser is awkward, frequently causing unwanted water dispensing when you are only wanting ice. The ice dispenser is tortuously slow, taking 7 or 8 "dumps" before you can fill your glass. The opening isn't tall or deep enough to actually hold a tall glass.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old refrigerator had a great ice maker/dispenser. I never had to make ice with ice trays. But it quit working. I bought this refrigerator after searching for months trying to get one with a decent size ice maker. I have to use ice trays to make ice with. this one. Refrigerator and freezer are a decent size. And work well. Except for the ice maker.

This refrigerator's ice makes is able to keep up with my families high demand for ice. All and all we are extremely happy with all the features of our whirlpool refrigerator.
