New Frig

Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator, and it’s to early for me to have concrete opinions. But so far, everything seems to be ok. EXCEPT, there isn’t a way to lock the rollers of the frig. EVERYTIME refrigerator is opened, refrigerator rolls forward. So, if you open refrigerator twice, refrigerator will be midway the room. Refrigerator doesn’t come with a way to lock rollers to keep refrigerator from moving. This was a poor design. ALL refrigerators I ever own, had a way of locking down rollers. Even the older styles.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Door slams open and no ice/water liner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bigger door slams open if not eased all the way to the right. Def not recommended for parents with younger kids. Seems to be missing an inner liner piece to catch extra water and ice. We tend to have water all over the floor when kids aren't careful. Otherwise, great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this refrigerator a couple weeks ago and have had one serious problem rear it’s ugly head, the freezer was apparently very aggressive on its defrost function as the ice would melt and leak water through the ice dispenser in the door and some items would also thaw and refreeze. Whirlpool promptly sent a tech to check on the issue and the ice maker was restarted and the temperature control was lowered to the middle position rather than the high position it was on at the time of purchase.
Since that adjustment the unit has performed flawlessly and we are now very pleased.
