[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The water and ice is not working properly. It is producing some type of putty. Disgusting. Refridgerator is also extremely loud!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Refrigerator Ice Bin Beware of The Sharp Point

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator is working good so far. What I don't care for is the freezer ice bin. When I removed it to empty the ice after the refrigerator was in place and working, I did not see the sharp point on the ice bin blade and I scratched the door.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good product one flaw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Happy with the side-by-side. The only thing I dislike is when the kids (10 and 8) get ice and water in a larger glass; it's nearly impossible to get ice without hitting the water toggle and water goes all over the floor.
I would recommend this to a friend!

New refrigerator is update on a Whirlpool classic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice Whirlpool update on a classic design. We've used Whirlpool frigs for 40 years and they are reliable with great functionality. This one is similar to past examples with some updates - the new handles are more attractive and interior lighting is better. The ice maker takes up more space in the freezer than the old version, but also looks to have more capacity. The bigger bins on the doors allow for more storage in the door than before. The old plastic facia on the bottom has been replaced and improved - it was always difficult to get the plastic one back in place. The shelves versus bins in the freezer is a plus and minus. lack of bins in the freezer caused us to have to buy some aftermarket bins, but exact fit bins were easy to find.

Pretty good choice but somewhat basic

1)The refrigerator has a vibration hum when running. I have repositioned it several times and have been able to reduce substantially the vibration noise. This refrigerator is louder than the previous Whirlpool we had.
2) The lack of a deli/meat tray was something we overlooked when reviewing this refrigerator. I would have purchased the upgraded model that did include this feature. It is blaringly lacking a place to keep cold cuts, meats and cheeses.
