Great refrigerator for cooling and storage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this refrigerator about a month ago. It needed an additional shelf. It came with four and I purchased an additional fifth shelf. The fifth shelf make it perfect for storage. This refrigerator does not come with a deli meat storage bin. We used a plastic container with a lid. Works fine but we are not use to a refrigerator that does not have one. The fifth shelf and deli meat bin were overlooked by us when I was in store looking at the display model. The 24.6 cubic foot size is about the same as a 25 cubic foot unit. Purchased at a great price while on sale. I had previous noticed in reviews that some of the insulation foam was seeping out inside the refrigerator. Whirlpool needs to improve process of insulating the unit where it seeps out. Better quality control needed here and also improving the removable of any excess foam that seeps especially in the seams on door posts. This is strictly a cosmetic issue. Final note is on the panel on back of refrigerator that covers the compressor and evaporation coil. It needs to be made out of metal. The fiber board will eventually get damp and tear or deteriorate. All said, I am still happy with this refrigerator and quality of how it cools and maintains a consistent temperature. Love the quite opening and closing doors also.

Poor quality components

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had 2 of this model. The first was returned in 1 1/2 weeks as the compressor was so loud I could hear it upstairs. The second unit, at day 30, began leaking from the ice dispenser overnight and warped my laminate floors! I have an authorized repair person coming out this week to assess the cause and then I can proceed with a claim for damages to my flooring. Trading this in for a Frigidaire!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
