This noisy appliance has driven me out of the house! It has a mind bending him that I can hear all over my house and it goes on FOREVER! I don’t even want to open it for fear the extra heat will prolong the noise
In addition:
1. There is no OFF switch so the manual tells you to “unplug or turn off the power” when cleaning the unit. I clean my refrigerator EVERY WEEK so these are not options!
2. Such cheap, unadjustable shelves that don’t have a lip to contain spills ( I guess people don’t clean anymore)
3. What’s with the HUGE handles- my refrigerator screams “look at me!” Maybe they could have used some budget from material in handles to bulk up the chintzy plastic shelf holders INSIDE.
4. Freezer is either missing a shelf- I can’t find whether there are supposed to be four- or they are moveable shelves that you can’t figure out how to move
5. Butter/cheese keeper is so small- made for households that are non-dairy?
I miss my GE Profile side by side from 1998! This Whirlpool was the ONLY American made side by side in 2019 that fit my kitchen- why did every manufacturer decide refrigerators had to be 70 inches tall!? Come on Whirlpool- you can do better than THIS!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my old Whirlpool (which was almost identical to this one) over 20 years. Obviously, if a style of product has been available for that length of time, it has integrity. I am hopeful to have this new refrigerator for another 20 years.
