Induction was something i was apprehensive about . Natural gas is my standard choice . Induction is as good as gas . Amazing

Sleek look and design

I am new to induction cooking but loving it so far. We removed our gas stove and oven. I thought I might have a learning curve, but so far, so good. We use Hexclad pans on the stove, and they work great. We have only had the range for 2 months, so I have not done a lot of baking yet. I know it will be better than my 1970s 50 degrees too hot oven.

Big gas has you fooled

We were hesitate to switch from gas because we enjoy cooking and had bad electric experiences in the past.
Big gas has you fooled that that is the way to cook. Induction is so obviously better. Heats faster and hotter, cleans up easier, controls are more precise. It’s an absolutely no brainer. If you’re considering it, switch. If you’re not considering, switch.

I love this range!

When we sold our house, I was heartbroken to leave my Café range behind for the new owners. Two thousand miles away my new Café range has just been installed! I loved the first one so much that I never considered another brand. The only change I made was to have a single oven this time.

I love this range for many reasons. Oven works great - even and accurate temp - and stovetop heats evenly and quick. The burners on the left that are supposed to combine to use a griddle are questionable. First, there is no suggested griddle and not an option to buy from the company. Second, any reviews I have read of griddles they have purchased have not heated evenly over this feature. The only other thing is that it doesn't quite fit in my space as every other range has done since 1975. It is a bit too deep.

Unreliable

We thought we were getting a solid and reliable product when we purchased a this range in Dec 2019, upgrading a 25-yr old JennAir electric range that came with the house and still worked though had cracked top. Induction was a nice upgrade from heating elements, but it only lasted 3 years before the induction control board died on us (during Thanksgiving 2022). We had it repaired despite the expense thinking it was a fluke and would last long, unfortunately the new board is now failing 2 years 8 months later! Not sure if this is a weakness of these or if we have a lemon. It's a beautiful looking range but simply not reliable.

Design is King.

The sleek design with the glass top dominating the counter has made our small kitchen look vast. The entire space feels new with the recent install of the Cafe induction range and with the Cafe microwave. The storied fast cooking time is not an exaggeration, it's all true and wonderful.
