Great appearance

My first induction heating so its taking a little getting used to. Was very impressed - when heating pot of water to cook pasta, after putting pasta in and was at the point of boiling over, I turned the heat down and it immediately reduced foaming. This is why I switched to induction

Love Induction, Oven Requires Wireless (BAD!!)

Cooking on induction is a different world, one that suits my busy family nicely. The matte black is a revelation, hides fingerprints and looks lovely in my kitchen.
The oven works fine, however many of the "great features" (roasting, air fry) require wireless connectivity to GE SmartHQ App. Clearly this wasn't a part of the sales pitch! As of now, we will not connect to this App. The reviews are atrocious, and I AM NOT COMFORTABLE SHARING MY DATA/WIRELESS ANYTHING WITH GE, nor will I ever be. We are considering purchasing a separate internet connection specifically for our GE appliances so that we may utilize fully all of the oven settings.
I understand the utility of accessing appliances while away from home and, while I would not use that function, it would not bother me to have it on my appliance. However, when I press the button to Roast and I am told that I must connect via wireless in order to use the roasting mechanism? Nope, not cool.
Our prior oven was a KitchenAid, which offered fabulous features without wireless connectivity. We bought GE because one of their major production facilities is in Louisville, KY, we were proud that a few of our appliances were made "just down the road" and we have neighbors who are long-time GE employees.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got a lemon

We have a technician coming out to get check the range again.
The bottom of the oven is 150 or more degrees cooler than the top.
Makes me wonder if they test these things?

The best until it stopped working

I loved this range. It is beautiful. Did a great job cooking. Easy to keep clean. We waited forever to get it and I've said over and over again I'll never purchase another brand. We've had it less that 1 year and 3 months. The other night we noticed a burning randomly shutting itself off. Tonight as I started dinner the burners started to come on and then immediately turned off. The surface hot light came on and stayed for a very long time. The burners never came on. I checked the warranty and it has a 1 year warranty.
What makes me even madder is that I purchased a GE refrigerator and the icemaker went out exactly at 1 year and I had to pay to replace it.
A range in this price range should last longer than 15 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great but misses the mark on some features

This unit has the potential to be awesome. Some of the features are great, but it completely misses the mark on enough for me to not recommend this until some improvements are made, especially for its price point.
PROS:
- Burners are nicely sized and spaced.
- The burner controls are fantastic as a continuous adjustment without limiting your heat control to set increments. I love this feature!
- The oven cooks nicely and you can depend on temperature setting.
- The controls are intuitive and the display is well thought out.
- Timer has a 1-minute warning tone that is genius!
- The seal between the cooktop surface and the control is great because it prevents crumbs and grease from getting into any separation.
CONS:
- The bridge function for the left two burners does not heat the entire surface as it should. This is why I chose this range! It only functions as a means to operate two separate burners with one control. This means uneven heat with a lack of heat provided between the two burners. The entire point of having a bridge function is to provide even heat across long or oblong cookware! VERY disappointed in this!!
- Air fry and precision cooking should be available without having to connect to wi-fi, and they are not.
- The alerts sent to your phone, like the timer and preheat, are completely useless as they are very delayed getting to your phone despite being connected the same wi-fi band. This would be a fantastic feature if it worked. I ended up turning the app notifications off.
- The middle back warming burner doesn't seem to put off any heat whatsoever.
- Wi-fi is extremely finicky and difficult to set up, requiring changes to the configuration of your wi-fi and phone settings.
- There is no coordinating backsplash/back-guard available, which means I now have to redo my tile backsplash.
- I would prefer the oven handle to not have a rose gold logo and instead have a consistent color with the rest of the handle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cheap materials, stopped working in less than 1yr

Cheap materials. It is supposed to be stainless steal but in less that A YEAR, the whole appliance has stains and rust spots all over the front and handles. Also the induction range completely stopped working even with multiple induction-ready kitchenware. We have a maintenance scheduled soon to check it out; hopefully they decide to replace the whole appliance with a new one.

Works Great When it Works

I selected this range due to the high reviews and wanting an induction stove that performed significantly better than other ranges. In a lot of ways, it's been great, but I've had this over a year and more recently, coincidentally after it's gone out of warranty, the burners keep turning off. It doesn't matter whether I'm only using one burner or multiple, it'll turn off on its own and then won't come back on for a while. It tends to happen more often when I'm using both the oven and the stove top. It's extremely frustrating to cook like that and there is absolutely no reason the oven and stove top should not be able to be used at the same time. For example, today I had the oven on at 325 degrees farenheit and the large burner to medium and the burner turned off on me after a while and wouldn't turn back on. This is completely unacceptable and I fully regret spending the money on this range.

Bad Quality

After less than 24h stove was delivered and installed- 8" burner stop working. This is our first GE appliance and bad experience. Now we have a headache when tech will come and not fully working NEW STOVE!!! We probably will return it back and will buy another brand.
