Bought this refrigerator for our new home and the water has a very distinct charcoal taste from day one. We purchased a new filter but the end result was the same. Very frustrated and unable to speak with anyone from Bosch to find a solution. i
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great frig but...

Nicest frig we have ever owned! Interior design is amazingly efficient. Nice quality feel. Like every frig, however, the ice maker has failed. It is only 14 months old. Disappointing. Our GE frig, which was a nightmare, lasted over two years before the ice maker failed. Manufacturers should just offer an ice maker delete option and ice trays!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Underwhelmed

We selected this refrigerator for the following features: style, counter depth measurements, interior storage, reputation. We wanted a refrigerator that maximized all available storage. It definitely does! However, the quality of stainless steel on the doors and drawer is sub par compared to our experience with other brands. It dents and scratches VERY EASILY! Hard to clean as well. We’ve had this appliance since late October and it already has 3 noticeable dents and a large scratch! Have no idea how those happened. We had our previous refrigerator during a time while raising children and it remained in pristine condition. We are now empty nesters and this product already looks like it’s twenty years old!! I do not recommend this product.

Love/Hate relationship with this refrigerator

Received this refrigerator in July 2020. I absolutely love the INSIDE! It's roomy, and well-appointed. Love the freezer space and the ice maker too! The OUTSIDE is beautiful as well, HOWEVER, the stainless steel skin is almost like having aluminum foil covering the fridge! It dents and scratches ridiculously easily. We have a brand new kitchen and I am VERY careful with cleaning and care of all our new appliances. We have no children in the home. Yet our brand new fridge has two dents (lightly bumped it when pulling out a pan stored above the fridge, and have no idea how the second dent got there) and a light scratch (I assume from cleaning) in the doors already. I have used only recommended cleaners and a soft cloth to clean it. This is very frustrating because I have to look at it every time I open the fridge. Seriously don't know how much more careful we could be and still use the appliance without damaging it. Prior to this we had a 20+ year old fridge with no scratches or dents.

Nice, but doors are always open

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice fridge. It feels small, but it's counter depth so that can't be helped. It came with way too much many shelves, some very small ones too, we took several out. The biggest issue is the doors. They have to be intentionally closed all the way. You can't swing it shut as you walk away, they don't seal. They would rather hang open. This is a serious design flaw. It does beep to remind you that the doors are open. This happens multiple times daily with kids and some adults who struggle to close the fridge all the way. Also-the plastic liner is so hard to get off. Bits of plastic are stuck inside around shelves and outside around the handles.

Bad Stainless Steel Finish

Have had this refridgerator for two years and the finish on the stainless steel has slowely become spotty and in some sports has come off all together, not very impressive for a product of this price.

Not Bosch Quality

We purchased this refrigerator in August and have had 3 service calls. The first call was for an alarm that was caused by ice getting behind the door of the freezer (fixed) and the other two have been because the fridge makes an insanely loud "whistle/scream" that sounds terrible. The tech keeps saying that's part of the design. We have adored Bosch products because of the quiet nature and quality but this is sound is not normal or practical for someone's home. If we could return it, we would.

Product Disappointment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently purchased a Bosch 800 Series refrigerator from Ferguson (Builders Appliance Center) in Denver, CO. It replaced a 20-year-old Kitchenaid. We needed another "portable" refrigerator that we could roll in and out of a wall location to gain access to our furnace located behind the refrigerator. We typically roll our refrigerator out twice a year to replace the air filters in our furnace and had had no problem over the years with our old Kitchnaid in damaging our kitchen hardwood (cherry) floor. You can imagine our shock and disappointment when, on the first time rolling our new Bosch refrigerator into place, we damaged our beautiful hardwood floors. I immediately contacted BAC but they acted like ("Gee, that's too bad!!). And then our ice maker broke and BAC sent out a repair person to replace the ice maker and the rollers, but advised us that the new rollers were no different from the old ones and it was a waste of time to replace them! Upon closer examination of the rollers they all have a "ridge" along the centerline and are all made of hard plastic with no "cushion" capability to protect floors. And, after reading the installation instructions, there are no warnings that the rollers WILL damage hardwood floors!! It would have been nice had there been a warning and recommendation to place a protective pad under the refrigerator before trying to roll it in place!!! Right now I'm beside myself as I have a damaged floor and apparently no recourse to get it repaired by either BAC or Bosch. I also am not sure just how to best protect our floor, once re-finished, from having this happen again. And, by the way, when the appliance repair person came out to replace our ice maker, the new unit was also broken and so we have to go through all of this with the ice maker again! So much for your quality control on replacement parts!!
