Ordered this in May, delivered July and worth the wait. Very “pretty” and received many compliments and happy with inside space, lighting and arrangement of shelves, very quiet . Only drawback is freezer space but apparently all are same...will purchase chest freezer for garage

Does what I want a refrigerator to do.

I've had this refrigerator a month or so. It's quiet, make a lot of ice and keeps the food cold. It has a nice appearance, it is bright inside. It seems bigger inside than it looks on the outside. It fits in the small space that I have for a refrigerator.

Good size for us, interior could be better

Had this about 3 weeks now and very pleased with the appearance. Matches our Cafe Range perfectly. Quality build, nice exterior finish, very quiet. Two areas of noticed opportunities for improvement: - Drawers inside are janky, and could have been designed better. They do not slide easily and every family member has expressed frustration so far....our 20 year old Amana that we just replaced were better drawers - The entire fridge rolls and does not stay in place - even with the leveling feet extended down. Not sure what gives, as the 20 year old fridge never slid out of place once, but I find myself having to pull this one forward at least once a day so that it does not recess too much and the french door opens and hits the counter next to it. I'm trying to find a good piece of rubber that I can jam under the front two wheels to keep it from rolling backwards
Like others have said, the freezer is smaller than an entire family would like, but we have a chest freezer that keeps a majority of our frozens, and we just use this to supplement with what we use daily or expect to use this week

Insanely loud refigerator

We just got this refrigerator a couple of weeks ago and it is ridiculously loud when cooling. It has a variable-speed fan in the freezer compartment that puts out a hum that changes pitch constantly. It is supposedly to make the unit more energy efficient. It drives my family crazy and it runs for a long time. Do not buy this refrigerator if you expect your appliances to run quietly.

Hi, Thanks for choosing an exciting Cafe refrigerator for your kitchen! We want to apologize for any inconvenience with the sound level and understand how this would be frustrating for you and your family. It may be helpful for you to view page 34 in your manual for normal operating sounds: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-1000211-1.pdf
We really appreciate your feedback as it helps us with improving design and quality in future products. Thanks again! - Sharon@GEA

While the unit itself looks really good, that's where its positive traits end. It keeps food cold, which is the bare minimum to be expected of a fridge/freezer, but it feels like the designers really phoned it in on the actual use of it. First, it's way smaller inside than our previous fridge while filling the same hole in our kitchen. Maybe it's more insulation which makes it more efficient, but for the price we paid, I want that space back. Use those dollars to research better cooling methods or something, I don't think I can understate how much noticably smaller this is, than what I expected. Next, the finish is not durable at all. My wife scratched it up the first time she cleaned it with a standard kitchen sponge. Painted plywood holds up better than this. Third, the water dispenser is in a really weird position. The nozzle is really short forcing you to jam the cup right up to the wall, and the button is placed in such a way that you need two right arms somehow, or bend in a weird way. It's nit picky, but again, this was an expensive appliance and I expected more. Finally, and my biggest issue, the ice maker in the freezer. It feels like it was an after thought and constantly fights with the (also very small) freezer drawer. The maker doesn't always register that it's full, causing ice to overflow the basket and fall under the slide out drawer. Best case scenario you end up with ice cubes falling on to your floor when you open it, worst case they stay in there and keep the drawer from closing properly and now your food is spoiled. Would not recommend this for any kitchen that exists outside of Instagram.

Hi there - Thank you so much for this feedback. While we're certainly glad to hear that your refrigerator is cooling properly and aesthetically pleasing, we do apologize that the capacity is smaller than your previous refrigerator, the water dispenser and ice maker are difficult to use, and that you're not completely satisfied with the durability of this unit. This would be quite disappointing and we can understand your discontentment.
For future care and cleaning, please review pages 17 and 18 of the owner's manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-1000211-1.pdf. We do not recommend using a scrubbing sponge to clean the outside of the refrigerator, but a combination of warm, soapy water and a microfiber cloth will work just fine.
Check out this article for troubleshooting tips about the icemaker issue you described: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16934. There could be several reasons why ice production continues despite the bucket being full and that article offers some remedies to the problem.
Lastly, we will be passing your comments along to our refrigeration design team for consideration with future models. Insights like yours are very valuable to us and we really appreciate your perspective - thank you again for your honesty.
Please reach out to us directly if you have any questions or concerns in the future - we are always happy to assist in any way that we can. We're grateful to have you in our Café Appliances family. All the best, Kelsey@Café

This refrigerator is very attractive. The inside of the refrigerator is laid out well for storage. I would have given 5 stars but the freezer is so small.

There are great features, but there is no butter keeper. Also, to open the lowest drawer requires that both french doors are open.
