We just love this refrigerator, because it is well designed and beautiful. The handles are very sturdy, and the freezer drawer is easy to organize. We highly recommend it!

Beautiful Fridge - I wish the freezer was bigger and the ice tray in the freezer was smaller given it takes up about 25% of the whole thing.

The GE Cafe is a very nice refrigerator with great space utilization and layout. We especially like the ice maker and the shape and size of the ice cubes. Perfect for cocktails!

Factory quality control lacking

The GE cafe refrigerator I have was the 4th refrigerator delivered to my home in 3 weeks The first two were foreign made and arrived not working. I decided to spend a bit more and buy an American tried and true brand, GE. The first GE frosted up the 1st night because the freezer door’s seal did not align with the fridge frame so it ran continuously. When the appliance store delivered the second one, it too had the same issue. There was a gap between the top of the freezer door and the frame. The owner of the appliance store was called again and when he investigated found 4 screws missing on the freezer door in both refrigerators. The appliance store harvested the needed screws from the floor model at the store . Since then it is performing well and I would recommend if you have space issues as I do. The freezer is smaller than I had hoped but that would be my only con.

Hate this frig, but it fits in my kitchen

I have a very small kitchen, which means I am very limited on my frig options. This one does fit- but I truly hate it. I don't like the black sides on my white frig. Why would you do this? The freezer is tiny!! There is room for a larger drawer, but the way it was built makes for about half the size of my last freezer. It's hardly bigger than a beach cooler. Also, my freezer has so much ice build up in it. What in the world?!? I didn't have an ounce of that in my old freezer. Every time I pull an item out of the freezer, ice drops from it onto my floor. Cold, wet socks suck!! If I could switch this frig for a different one, I'd do it in a heart beat, but since it was so expensive, I'm stuck with it for awhile. Definitely a mistake buying this frig.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
