Cafe fridge

Glad we spent the extra money for a Cafe. Delivered to home, packaging was outstanding , delivered in perfect condition. Like the updated design that jug of milk stores in door. Replaced a 25 yr old fridge, hoping this lasts as long.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A little overpriced for the size

It's much smaller inside than what I thought it would be. It replaced a 19 cubic foot , with freezer on top. The freezer on the bottom of this one is also much much smaller than the one it replaced! I like the French doors on top, but do not like the freezer at all! It just doesn't hold much at all.

Quit completely after 9 months

I was so excited to get this fridge after waiting for it for 5 months. Started freezing fresh food and ice build up in the freezer. Then a total fridge failure. First frozen food then next day fresh food. Only used 9 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Warning needed for temperature setting

Thermostat is not calibrated correctly. Our veggies got frost bite and ruined in the first few days. We called our sales guy and he confirmed that temperature should be set higher then recommended. We got couple of thermometers, placed them on different levels and drawers to determine the right setting

Refrigerator freezes food due to poor design

Poor air circulation and cooling monitoring design freezes food on the top shelf. This refrigerator looks great, but the design is just terrible. Drinks on the top shelf have exploded, leaving a massive mess on the bottom despite the temperator being set well above freezing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Oh no! We are so sorry that your new freezer is icing over after only a few days of ownership. This is not normal operation, and we recommend checking your freezer door gasket, as a faulty gasket can cause icing in the freezer. If your gasket is in good condition and is properly sealing when closed, service may be needed.

Do not buy!

Do not buy this overpriced garbage!! Just about a year in and we’ve had about 6 service calls. Nobody can figure out what’s wrong with it but yet it goes from over freezing, building up ice frost and condensation, to raising the fridge temp to 60. Why would such an expensive appliance be complete garbage? GE won’t replace, only repair during the standard warranty. You’ve been warned! Don’t buy!!
