For being GE's "designer" brand, this refrigerator feels incredibly cheap and flimsy. The water dispenser is
awkward to use and requires significant pressure to operate. The freezer slides are made from cheap plastic, they squeal when opened and the drawer almost never seals correctly. It looks nice but that's about it. I would not recommend.

We'd like to assist you with your refrigerator. The quickest and cleanest way to eliminate the squeaking of a refrigerator drawer is to lubricate the top and bottom hinges with the below recommended oils, then work the door back and forth until the noise goes away. General purpose lubricants that are safe and approved for use on a refrigerator door hinge are provided below:
- Paraffin Wax (not candle wax) - can also be used on the door gaskets.
- Petroleum Jelly - recommended for door hinges, door gaskets and Fresh Food drawers/bins (including rollers).
- Mineral Oil - Great for use on door hinges and can be washed off easily.

Fridge is trash

The fridge and freezer stopped working after 2.5 years.

We want to help out with your refrigerator and freezer not operating. We recommend trying an electronic reset. This can be done by removing the power cord for 2-3 minutes, then plugging it back in. Alternatively, this can be done at the breaker for the same amount of time.

Beautiful fridge, freezer doesn’t seal

I absolutely love the aesthetics of this refrigerator and get compliments whenever someone new walks into the kitchen. However, the design of the freezer needs a lot of improvement.
The seal on the bottom freezer does not close completely when you shut it. We have gone through the instruction manual, made multiple adjustments, and we still have a recurring problem of the freezer not sealing shut.
We have found this problem is significantly worse when loaded up with frozen goods because the weight of the food pulls down on the door and doesn’t allow to top to seal.
Since purchasing this fridge we have had to store the majority of our frozen food in a deep freeze and keep only the most used items (ice cubes) in the kitchen.
Additionally, on more than one occasion the freezer had been closed “enough” that the freezer door will not beep even though it is still open. I can see on the side that the light is off but the seal is not closed.
This has led to us having to dispose of an entire freezer full of soggy food on more than one occasion.
I wish I could recommend this fridge because it is so beautiful but I would not buy another.

Love this fridge, I wish the manufacturers would have had a French door design 30 yrs ago. Mine is free standing in the kitchen, I love the black sides with the white front n the brass handles.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Leaked everywhere, ruined kitchen- do not buy

After only three years, this refrigerator began leaking all over our floor. It has ruined a large section of the floor, and a cabinet, prompting a pricy repair, concerns about black mold, and large homeowner's insurance claim.

Food stays fresher!

The interior is much brighter than our previous refrigerator and makes it easy to find everything. We have it for three weeks and I have noticed vegetables and fruit and staying fresh longer we are very pleased.
I would recommend this to a friend!
