Nanit Bands Work

The Nanit breathing bands are great. They fit my 6-month old and he doesn’t seem to be uncomfortable. He likes to roll and sleep on his stomach, so having the breathing monitor gives us peace of mind. We haven’t had any alarms or issues tracking him. The velcro can get a little misshapen after a wash, but I little tug and they’re back. My son has pulled at the velcro, but he wasn’t able to open it. Since the pattern/design is all around, I just shifted so he couldn’t reach it. All in all, the product works as expected.

We added these after we got the Nanit. Now I use them every time she sleeps. It is reassuring to see the breathing. I do wish they came in a size up. My daughter is 95th percentile for height and weight at 7 months, so I don’t think these bands will fit at 1 year.

We love our nanit! It’s our second one and this one is wayyyy better than the first. (and we loved that one) I love that I am told “cable fell asleep 27 minutes ago.” Plus, the insights are so helpful! Baby number 3 and this one finally puts himself to sleep, for the most part, because of the insights and tips!

Easy to put on and have a good length for adjusting the size as your baby grows. Sometimes it gets scrunched up but the monitor can usually continue to provide the breathing stats.

We love the breathing bands as they are a non "tech" approach to breathing monitoring. That is, the bands themselves are just a pattern and there are no electrical components on them.
We don't monitor them all the time but it is great to check on them periodically and the red alert is a good feature too.
