Not really what I expected from Otter Box. The surface is slick. One drop and the back has scrapes and divots. More rounded than square like most OBs. Wish I had bought a different one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pop socket broke off twice
on April 13, 2021

I was really happy with this phone case until the pop socket broke off. The plastic piece holding the pop socket to the case snapped off. I replaced it with the warranty but within a few weeks the same piece broke off my new case. I’m very disappointed and debating whether it’s worth it to pay the warranty fee for a second time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second purchase of this case - the first one, purchased almost two years ago, held up well. The pop socket did break off after about a year, but I used it a lot. Was able to super-glue it back on for a few months. Eventually cracked a bit (probably weakened by the super-glue), which is why I purchased a new case even though the old one was still perfectly functional. I look forward to getting another two years out of this one!

Bought this white and gray case because of the color . I usely buy otterbox commuter cases for all of my IPhones . But couldn’t find a polar white and gray commuter case for my IPhone 8 . But found out quickly that I really love this symmetry case very sturdy and protective also . I haven’t really use the pop socket as of yet .

Otter Box has always been my go to for cases, due to the durability. I’ve owned my new case for only a few weeks, and the soft plastic lining is already peeling. I was very surprised by the fact that I was already seeing damage. It’s not the Otter Box I expected.

I ordered this product because I broke my wrist and was unable to hold my phone now I am able to hold my phone with ease. I just wish it was made with better material a little thicker I am a little afraid that my phone may fall out.
