I bought this outer Box case because it had a pop socket included in for my daughter. However the pop socket does not hold the phone up. You still have to put it against the wall in order for it to work. The pop socket does not hold the iPhone 8 plus like it says it does. It fits in the case but does not hold the phone upright.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

While using that OtterBox as a stand, we usually suggest pulling the PopTop all the way out then angling one side up. This allows you to use the side that's still popped out as the stand for your phone. Additionally, we recommend having the camera-side of your phone down and close to the stable surface.

Love the color of this case! It's perfect cool lilac. But when I put my phone face down on other surfaces while using this case and a glass screen protector, buttons start getting pressed. Wish it was a little more heavy duty and the rubber edges were a little bulkier for protection.

Using it for two months now and I still like it. I don’t like bulky phones with bulkier cases so this slim design plus the pop is perfect for me. I have only dropped it a few times and was a little disappointed that it left small knicks but thats only because I am used to the defender series case that was on my old iPhone SE. That’s why I gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ But other then that, for me; the slim design is just my style and the built in changeable pop is a bonus

I bought this case about a month ago, after having a thicker case for way too long. I was a bit nervous to buy a case with “less protection,” in my opinion, but so far I have had no issues and my phone is still in one piece. This case is adorable to the eyes, but extremely functional. The Popsocket works well and is sturdy. All of the buttons align perfectly. The case, overall, made my phone a lot less bulky than my original Otterbox case, and I can finally hold it and text with one hand. It’s much better and I highly recommend this case if you want both protection and a slim case.
