I like the durability of Otterbox defender cases. My partner works in construction and needs a case that withstand a lot of abuse, dirt, etc. It was convenient to have the pop socket already in the case itself. However, the location of the socket makes it hard to prop up the phone. It’s directly in the center of the back of the case. The socket should be off to the side to better support the phone.

Were sorry to hear about your frustration with that Otter + Pop Defender Series case! While using that OtterBox as a stand, we usually suggest pulling the PopTop all the way out then angling one side up. This allows you to use the side that's still popped out as the stand for your phone. Additionally, we recommend having the camera-side of your phone down and close to the stable surface. I like it for the protection for sure but I don’t like how easy stuff gets under the screen cover. It’s not easy to take on and off (For protecting the phone from impacts) all the time to clean it out. That is the only negative I have found. I would buy another one just like it but doesn’t have the screen cover
