This case was as high quality as I had come to expect from Otterbox, and I believe it is probably one of the most safe cases among the ones I own. I was disappointed in the pop socket feature. It did not lay as flush as I had hoped so the back does not lay flush against a table. I was able to use my wireless charging pad, but had to be more careful to arrange it on the pad to enable charging. Last, my real disappointment was in the socket itself. When I extended fully I could barely get my (male hand) fingers underneath the socket to hold the phone. And when I would use it to tilt my phone on a table, the socket would usually collapse closed unless I very gingerly set the phone down. I’ve switched back to previous cases.

We appreciate your feedback about the recessed PopSocket, and we'll be sure to get your thoughts passed up the ladder to our design team. While that case is compatible with Qi charging, we do suggest removing the PopTop to improve charging functionality. Additionally, we recommend OtterBox Power accessories for best wireless charging experience, though there are plenty of non-OtterBox charging pads that perform well with our cases.
When you're using that OtterBox as a stand, we usually suggest pulling the PopTop all the way out then angling one side up. This allows you to use the side that's still popped out as the stand for your phone. Additionally, we recommend having the camera-side of your phone down and close to the stable surface and recommend placing something under the PopSocket to ensure the correct viewing angle is achieved.

Not really what I expected from Otter Box. The surface is slick. One drop and the back has scrapes and divots. More rounded than square like most OBs. Wish I had bought a different one.

Pop socket broke off twice
on April 13, 2021

I was really happy with this phone case until the pop socket broke off. The plastic piece holding the pop socket to the case snapped off. I replaced it with the warranty but within a few weeks the same piece broke off my new case. I’m very disappointed and debating whether it’s worth it to pay the warranty fee for a second time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I ordered this product because I broke my wrist and was unable to hold my phone now I am able to hold my phone with ease. I just wish it was made with better material a little thicker I am a little afraid that my phone may fall out.

I have had an Otterbox for as long as I've had a smartphone. I travel a lot and I drop things, so having an Otterbox to protect my phone from a rigorous environment (and from me!) is a lifesaver! (I should also say that as a returned Peace Corps Volunteer whose brand loyalty was forged in a small village in Mali, West Africa, I appreciate products that last forever. And I like buying from a company with a social conscience.)

I love the sleekness of the case. It’s not bulky. Feels secure having the pop connected to case. Stays clean. No scratches yet. Don’t know how it’ll be with drops as I haven’t yet.
Things I don’t like:
Case is a little slippery. Would like more grip on the sides.
The rubber of the pop socket is a little firmer than my old one and leaves a groove in my finger if I use it too long.
There are a couple sharp corners at the bottom where the harder plastic meets the softer rubber.
Case is noisy when you pick it up if fingernails scratch it
Things I don’t like:
