I love my usual otter box and I thought the pop socket would be great. There is no soft padding inside the case, the pop socket gets in the way of wireless charging even though this is supposed to work with it. I have to sit my phone just right to get it to charge. Shame because I love the colour!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is definitely odd that the unit seems to be hindering wireless charging - while you might have to remove the PopTop in order to achieve the best connection, the phone should still charge seamlessly with the case on. This is a great case - love that the popsocket is built in, it's a little less obtrusive than a typical popsocket. The only issue I have is that the lip on the face doesn't stick out as far as the regular Otterbox Symmetry case I have, so my screen cover cracked a little more easily with one drop.

My daughter and I love our case. We have always loved Otterbox. We love that with a pop socket already on the case that you can close it & still use it on a wireless pad charger. We will continue to buy Otterbox. My husband he is a mechanic who has shut his under hood of a car & dropped it off a tailgate of a truck moving & it has always saved his phone.

I bought the Symmetry case with the Pop Socket integrated into the case because I love Pop Sockets, I love my Mophie wireless iPhone charger, and peeling off the Pop Sockets each night to charge my phone meant the Pop Sockets lost the adhesive properties quickly, which put my phone at risk of being dropped. I have been hoping for this type of product and IT IS BETTER THAN EXPECTED! I went on the Pop Socket website to buy cool ones to change out whenever I feel like it and was so pleased to find that there are beautiful designs with so many options! The AWESOME part is that you can buy Pop Sockets to change out that support WONDERFUL global causes, it’s only $5 more for those ones, and they donate the money to the causes. Examples are environmental protection, wildlife conservation, empowering girls and women to receive educations, animal rescue organizations, cancer awareness, autism awareness, and so many more fabulous causes that are worth supporting and the artwork on the Pop Socket is spectacular. I went a little nuts and got 5 different ones because I enjoy having the choice to switch out how my phone looks.
