Amazing set!

This is an amazing set! Been looking to get it for a while and finally pulled the trigger. Super glad I did! I love how detailed the interior is while still revealing the transmission and gears working. The rubber band on the rear door is a little loose. Was worried it would fall off but I put it behind the black piece that held it together. Now it’s perfect and I’m not worried about losing it. My photo won’t upload for it unfortunately.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Tideous but enjoyable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great set. I love how realistic it is for being built of Legos. I do not intend to play with this item but to place it on display. It was tedious to build yet enjoyable.

Great LEGO Technic set, with one big problem...

The LEGO Land Rover Defender is a great set. It has the building experience, which helps you to see how real cars work. It also is very fun to play. It also has great accessories, which include the optional roof rack, steering handle at the roof, being able to see the gears, and a hook!
However, there is two big problems, which made me drop this down 1 star. First of all, it does not have printed set, which I think is a must for LEGO sets at this price range.
THE GEARS ALSO DO NOT WORK
This is a common issue for this model, which many youtubers have addressed. Even after seeing videos, it has not help, and the engine makes a crunching sound, and the wheels do not move. This makes it impossible to play, as you cannot move the car.
If lego can fix this problem, it would be the best technic set (In my opinion). It has the looks for display, fun-playability (Except the engine cracking part), and fun building experience!

Assembly problem

Followed instructions very carefully. However, after complete assembly, the rear wheels spin in different directions and the car does not go forward and backward. The steering is very rough and doesn't work. I assembled for my son but now I don’t know what to do with it...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Land rover defender

I am in mid build as I I type. Start off:
1-the pieces packaging is terrible. Only 1-4 with 6 bags per number group. You should have spread the wealth a bit for numbering. ( not as bad as the London Bridge in which you guys put all the pieces in one bag!!)

Missing pieces

Overall a very good set, but I was missing 3 of the red 2 long axles, and when on bag 3, there's a part where you connect a black and 3 green 5 long beams, for some reason the ends wouldn't line up correctly, I don't know if it was bad beams on the beams or blue 3 long pins weren't straight, but it really bothered me that the ends wouldn't line up together, other than that a very good set
I would recommend this to a friend!

If it seems like your set isn't aligning properly, the best thing to do is double-check your build. Sometimes there may be a piece just a little off from where it should be.
