Great little Air Fryer! Love it but it smells!

We got this Insignia Air Fryer about 6 months ago and use it regularly. The basket is a good size and we can get enough fries in there for 2 people. If you try to put too much in there, it just won't cook properly, so this is great for household with 1 to 2 adults.
There is one issue - which is why it looses two stars. We noticed it right away and I waited to write this review until I had used it for a while to see if the issue went away. When you turn it on, there is a noticeable burnt plastic smell. We just turn the fan on and accept that we got a budget product which performs well, but has budget materials. If anyone in our home suffered from chemical sensitivities we could not use this product.
So if you're looking for an air fryer that works well and is affordable - and you don't mind having your kitchen smell like burn plastic every time you use it, then go for it and you'll be happy. If however, burnt smells bother you, then I would strongly recommend getting a better product that's more metal and less plastic.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best purchase ever!

I absolutely love this appliance. I haven't had to use oil since buying so it's worth it for health reasons alone. Of course there will be certain foods that are better deep fried but for many things I eat, I've been able to eliminate deep frying all together. Taste and texture are not compromised despite what some people claim. And then I realized you can make donuts in this thing! Game over! Must have in home.

I wish I had bought an air fryer sooner. Make the best fires at home. Chicken and ribs come out amazing. This model with the analog controls is perfect for me, as I’ve heard complaints about the digital versions.

I just recently used this fryer for the first time and it made the BEST fries. Nice and crispy and very tasty. I will be frying wings the next time and I'm sure they will turn out perfect too.

It is an efficient and good size air fryer. A digital one would have been a better purchase but for the price, it is worth. The only dislike i have is the plastic smell when i cook. Hope it will diminish after constant use.
