Looks great and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently replaced my old kettle with KEK1565 in Onyx Black. It looks great on the kitchen bench and appears to made very little noise when the kettle is heating up. Filling up the water is with ease and pouring the hot water is great, as the kettle is not hot to hold.

The Stylish Quiet Achiever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Electric jugs are one of the basics in your life like a table and chairs. And when you are young as long as it' works and is cheap it's longevity and defects are of little consequence.
However with life experience and a growing awareness of the importance of your personal living environment for your well being develops a desire to ensure the seemingly mundane everyday items you use are efficient and reliable but are also stylish and blend with the aesthetics of your living spaces. Particularly the central essential core of your home - your kitchen to which so much effort was devoted.
So many electric jugs have come and gone in my life. Most were very cheap, many failed after varying periods, some looked very stylish but were inefficient, a few just wore out and became dangerous, others were impossible to clean or broke.
However all of them were noisy.
In the past I had never given any thought at all to this "defect" but now I have a husband who has hearing aids it's become a real issue as the sound of a noisy jug rapidly heating water becomes so intense and unbearable for him he has to mute his aids.
It wasn't just the noise of the cheap jug I was using it was also the fact that it looked cheap in my new kitchen he had built for me.

So he went on a mission to find the holy grail of jugs and found it in this Kitchen Aid model.
It is not only efficient and stylishly matches my Kitchen Aid mixer and compliments the adthetics of my new kitchen in its rich red but imore importantly for us it is very quiet.

Perfect Kettle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that the kettle has stainless steel lining rather than plastic, and has an easy-to-clean seamless interior. Quick to boil (we more usually would only be boiling up the equivalent of 1-2 mugs worth of water), it is also a lot quieter than our previous stainless steel kettle which did not have a double wall like this one. Aesthetically it has very attractractive, clean lines, and is not "over designed" like many other kettles currently on the market. If I could improve anything in the design, it would probably just be an address to the loud noise it makes when the lid snaps shut, but this is only a minor point. Overall, love it and am very happy.

Looks great no plastic internally great colour red

After a couple of months noticed the just over boiling I was very sick so contacted support online as was tired of holding the lid down it didnt sit flush.
I ended up calling customer service was great replaced under warranty quick delivery now I have the same issue after one week you can see a small gap and if you put your finger on the lid it boils quicker otherwise it keeps steaming.
Its very disappointing I bought the toaster matching and its a big purchase for myself as I haven't been back to work since being diagnosed with breast cancer.
I will try and see if kitchen aid can provide a solution as its pretty sad as I have their mixers and they work fantastic.
