A great kettle in so many ways

I went searching for a plastic free kettle because of concerns about the intense effect of steam condensing on plastic within a kettle and this was in the only one I found free of plastic in the heating vessel. It will heat a smaller amount of water (250ml) than many kettles and with the double wall it is quieter than the previous kettle. The double wall keeps the water hot for longer and keeps the outside of the kettle cool. I recommend changing the design by embossing the volume markers on both right and left insides of the kettle rather than under the spout as this would make these marks visible for both right and left handed people when filling the kettle. The design is elegantly simple, partly though avoiding a steam pipe inside the vessel and instead incorporating it into the handle and the gap between the dual walls. Overall a pleasing, clean design.

Hi, This is a TOTALLY UNIQUE ONE OF A KIND product available in the Australian market place and you there at "KITCHEN AID" have totally failed to advertise the product correctly!!?? This is a stainless steel internal mechanism that has no plastic in it - therefor it is safe to boil water in. If you do a search for stainless steel kettle this product does not come up and can not be found?? Yet this is the outstanding characteristic and #1 sales feature that the product offers. Please sharpen you game a bit "KITCHEN AID" as there are many consumers out there who want to purchase stainless steel kettles that have zero plastic in them.

I am slightly disappointed with the lid which doesn't close properly due to which water spills through the gap between lid and rim of of the kettle upon pouring.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this kettle because my old one was so noisy couldn't hear the TV when on & thought it would be quieter but unfortunatley just as nosiy but I love the design (though a little heavy for an older person) & the colour fits in welll with my kitchen - overall a good product

Elegant and tradition design lovers will be thrilled with this Kettle which we picked to match our enamel stove and kitchen aid mix master, then to add to our collection we bought the four toast toaster in the same colour enamel.. really happy both appliances have excellent fittings and seem to be built to last. Very happy
