Setting up the printer to scan requires install of HP software that is NOT plug and play easy. More trouble than it is worth when spending this kind of money.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously bought one for home. When my office printer dies, I loved this printer so much, I bought another for the office.
It's noisy when it begins printing. A little lag time to print after hitting the print button.

Hello there,
This is really disappointing to learn that you are not very satisfied with this printer's scanner. I can assure you that we certainly build our printers with the intent of providing a reliable experience for our customers. With that said let me provide you with some help and improve your experience with this device even further.
First of all, when it comes to slow printing, the document listed below will guide you on how to solve that issue: - Slow Printing Fix: support.hp.com/us-en/19204098/document/c06435028
Furthermore, while your printer is powered up, it makes sure that the nozzles are regularly cleared, which can be a bit noisy, especially if the printer is on a hard surface. One thing to try is placing the printer on a padded surface to muffle the vibrations that occur. If you feel the noise is related to a bigger issue, please contact us for support: support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp
Last but not least, If all of the above fails, we would be more than happy to help so please feel free to contact us as well.
