Claudia,

We understand the frustration that not having your preferred streaming service available can cause. We are actively working to increase the number of service providers available and appreciate our customers' patience while we work to make this happen.

Great Fitness Watch. GPS/Music together is Awesome
on August 31, 2018

The watch is smaller and lightweight than most gps trackers out there. Its very well made, and the music feature seals the deal. Great watch, great for GPS, great for music.

Adding Music too Cumbersome
on August 31, 2018
Posted by: Greto
Purchased this tonight in hopes with would be easy to transfer music from my smartphone to the watch. However when I realized connecting to a computer is involved it just becomes too much when comparable devices like the Apple Watch are very easy and don’t require a computer to transfer. I will be returning it since the ease of using the music was my primary hope for this device.

Greto,

The ability to add music through a service in the Connect IQ store will eliminate the need to connect your computer. We realize that the number of music providers right now is limited and we are working to expand this list of providers as quickly as possible. Our goal is to meet the needs of as many of our customers as possible.

Battery Life was deplorable.
on September 2, 2018

Hello, I was looking to upgrade my fitness tracker from my Fitbit Charge 2 to a Garmin product. After weeks of research, I decided on the Vivoactive 3 music smartwatch.
Unfortunately, I returned this watch after 5 days. 1, the battery on this watch does not last more than 18 hours. It's even less if you have it connected to your phone for notifications. Then, you can subtract even more battery time for your workouts. 2, I could not sync up my Bluetooth earbuds (Skull Candy) so I was never able to utilize the watch to play music (which was the biggest selling point for me). 3, there was also sync issues with my phone as well that would require me to reload the watch into the Garmin app.
4, and most importantly, I was very dissapointed with the Garmin's ability to monitor my Heart Rate and calories burned. I compared the results for my Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music with my Myzone Chest Strap heart monitor. I did this from 3 different workouts (Strength Training). While I understand that there are discrepancies between wrist based heart monitors and chest strap versions, I did not expect my results to completely out of range. For example, during a workout, my Myzone measured my HR at 135 while the Garmin measured it as 120. Another example was the Garmin's in-ability to measure HR % Max as It did not measure up to the chest strap. During a different workout, when the Myzone Chest Strap had me at 80%, the Garmin was showing 60%. Last example would be the number of calories burned. Of course, if the Garmin is not measuring HR accurately, then this value would be off, and it was.
While the Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music was sleek and attractive, I was disappointed overall with this watch and returned it to Best Buy.

Mike,

We encourage any users seeing battery life of two days or less to reach out to their local product support teams directly. It is possible that a replacement will be necessary or we may bring the device in for direct evaluation.

Well I wanted a simple watch with gps for distance and time for running .
I don’t like it doesn’t have 10ths or hundredths
The band is a bit Annoying as supposed to my forerunner 410 takes a bit of doing to learn features . I’m not a big gadget guy I like simple .the watch part is hard to read and dim pulse is a good thing no straps a little hard to navigate a lot of extras . You should be able to Taylor the options to disable things you don’t want to have to navigate thri so it’s quicker . I like the music option once again more work .uiu ha e to use a pc not a phone to download music to your phone then to watch with a app it’s just a lot of work . Tech guys live this I’m a sports guy
Simple wanted more simple .
I may try the timex Ironman gps simple

Great for running and tracking stats
on September 5, 2018

Bought this to be able to run without my phone. Used a farming gps while I was deployed and enjoyed their gps products so I figured this would be a nice addition. Unfortunately I can not get any of my text messages to come through. I’m a tech junkie and have tried troubleshooting it myself but I believe it is something with the watch itself and not a setting I have selected. GPS and music without my phone on me while I run definitely worth it though.

Please reference the below link for information on bluetooth troubleshooting. If this does not resolve your lack of notifications, then there is likely a setting on your phone causing notifications to not be sent over. Please reach out to your local product support team for further assistance.
