I miss my vivosmart 4

I like the additional features of the vivoactive 3.
I struggle to type on my laptop with the vivoactive 3. The strap buckle is in the way.
I miss the blood oxygen sensor not being in the vivoactive 3 that I had in my vivosmart 4.
I guess I will get use to the size of the vivoactive 3 after not wearing a watch for 27 years.
The vivosmart 4 was unnoticeable, enjoyable to wear.
I am not comfortable wearing the vivoactive 3 due the size, yet. I hope I will become more comfortable with the vivoactive 3.

I could tell within maybe 5 minutes of use I was not going to keep this watch. The display barely looks better than the original Vivoactive from....4 years ago? Animations look slow/clunky and the display is not very clear or vibrant. The display on the Fossil Explorist 4 is light years ahead of this thing. If it looked like that I might keep it.

Sorry to hear about your experience and that you are returning the device, the screen was designed for readability in bright light as well as conserving battery power. It is possible to customizing the display by using the Garmin Connect IQ website too. Best fitness watch

I got this watch to replace a Samsung gear 2 fit. This watch is a million times better. I use it on runs and wear it all day long battery lasts about 3 days no problem. Lastly, the Garmin app on my phone is so nice that just the app should be reason to purchase this watch!

Great features, but screen still lacking.

I have owned several Garmins over the years. Each has been wonderful and offered a wide array of fantastic fitness and outpost features. I had hoped the Vivoactive 3 would be an improvement as all the videos show this amazing bright and visible screen. In the right light, it is like that. The other 40% of the time however, it’s a struggle to see it. Other than that - fantastic timepiece//fitness track/ and outdoor device. Just ordered the Venu which should fix the screen issue. Wife’s will take over my Vivoactive and I will finally have turns her from the Fitbit dark side :)

This is the first smartwatch I've purchased and I'm very impressed. I've had a very basic FitBit fitness tracker and it didn't live up to my expectation. This vivoactive 3 has impresssed me greatly. It was easy to set up, easy to connect to my phone, easy operation and has great features. I'm glad I decided to go with the Garmin rather than another watch. So glad I purchased it!

Love this watch!

After being an Apple watch guy for the past five years or so, my Apple watch series 1 finally gave out. Scoffing at the expense of the new Series 4 version of the Apple watch, I opted to buy an off-brand fitness watch for around $45. That watch did not cut the mustard and had no music capability (when I purchased, I did not realize how much I would miss that). I am an Amazon Music guy and researched this watch as the best option to have Amazon Music capability. Would be a five-star rating if the set-up and app installation were a little easier and the apps were a little more visually appealing. It took me about 3 hours to get the Garmin vivoactive 3 Music set up but now that it is running, I absolutely love it. The music works great and the phone app that tracks your activity is very nice. Highly recommend this for anyone who appreciates a nice fitness watch.

The screen on the phone cracked. Had to send back. Other then the durability issue the watch has great applications.

The vivoactive 3 Music has a Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 screen which is a durable material and would need a significant impact to break/crack.

Ok but dislike the side button design flaw

Like a lot of the features but dislike that the side button is easily triggered by bending my wrist, my pillow, golf swing etc. I. constantly have to reset my clock face and widgets as they change by themselves with the side button accidental triggering.
I like the golf widet and only having one decice for all my fitness needs and golf yardage, but again, frequently have to reset all my settings and screen views due to side button design that triggers actions i don't want.
Not sure i would buy it again. Would rather have my previous seperate fitness tracker and golf watch and avoid all the setting and screen view resets. Never had these problems with any of my prior garmin bands and watches.

Sorry to hear about your experience with this watch. To resolve this issue you may want to move the watch a little further up your wrist away from your hand and wrist bone. Switching wrists might also help with this problem.
