Kinda disappointed

I really wanted music on it and it is really complicated and frustrating to put music on it. Also the god takes a while to load and sometimes I just don’t have time to use it

Please reference the link below for information on the vivoactive 3 Music and all of the music-related features.
I had the Vivoactive HR previously and loved it. I wanted a new watch and decided that I didn't want to limit myself to just a running watch. I am still trying to download music to this new watch. The apps that connect directly are not highly rated and Garmin Express does not seem to want me to download my music files through my computer.

My 'second' fitness band
on August 20, 2018

Before this I tried a competing band and overall this one suits me well. I'm sure every individual experience will vary and I feel that this one appear to be a bit more accurate than the last one I have. I've owned several Garmin products and have been very satisfied with them. This is my first 'music' band and have yet to use that feature and it's not my top priority, although for a bit more than the non-music version I figured why not move up to this model. After using this for several days. I went back and got both kids the VivoFit Jr. 2 and the wife the VivoSport and we're all enjoying our walks and bike rides. I do admit that the kids are more motivated getting their steps in when they are 'bored' lol.

Great features except the Music

Out of the box this is a great watch. Decided to upgrade to the music version and that was a mistake. The apps are for minor music services and they left out Pandora and Spotify. Stick with the non music version until they can secure better apps.

Doug,
We understand your complaint about the current music offerings and we are working diligently to add to this list for all of our users. We are unable to force any streaming services or music providers to sign on as they must agree to terms and must then help us develop the app. We hope to offer more services to meet the needs of all of our customers very soon.

Very nice smart watch/fitness tracker.

I was a Fitbit charge HR owner previously. The charge plug broke after about a month. The Vivoactive 3 is a much better setup. Heart rate track works well. I really like the connect app. GPS is easy to use and seems to be very accurate. I like being able to save your current location and navigate back (finding your car and hiking). I’ve only used the “Walk” activity so far with the GPS. Works great. Nice to see the map and all the statistics after the walk. Having it buzz you at each mile and show the pace is great. The one problem I have is that it will not connect to my home WiFi. I have a pretty standard D-Link router and I have tried several times, making sure I was doing it according to the instructions. I get various error messages and it will not connect. Kinda disappointed in that. Hopefully Garmin will fix this if it’s a software error.

Perfect for me

My use is specifically for monitoring and saving workouts and listening to music wirelessly. Yes, iPhone could do it but was much too cumbersome compared to vivoactive 3 Music while working out.
