Sleek and simple

My wife and I both got this watch and it is amazing. It has all the features we wanted (step count, water rating, music, sleep) and it’s so easy to use! Highly recommended if you want a nice sleek and easy watch.

Excellent Fitness Tracker, Mediocre Smartwatch

I bought this watch just 4 days ago and am already VERY pleased with it! I originally purchased the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active since it had a lot of great Smartwatch features, but it really lacked any decent fitness tracking capability. The Garmin vivoactive3 really blew me away with its ACCURATE fitness tracking capability, not to mention long battery life! If you are an athlete looking for a true fitness tracker, look no further than a Garmin. The GPS is spot on & patented heartrate monitoring technology is best-in-class. The only reason I'm giving 4-stars (and not 5-stars) is due to the poor resolution & slightly laggy touchscreen. The pro's definitely outweigh the con's, especially since it's a monster of a fitness tracker.

Great watch, poor directions

I'm a tech guy so when it comes to using new gear for the first time, I tend to figure it out quickly. This was an exception. I had a terrible time getting the watch to install Spotify and a few other things...but I figured out why.
When you first get the watch and pair it to your phone, I think it starts updating the watch's software. Only you don't know that. So when you get an error that the watch doesn't support Spotify (which it clearly should) then you have to figure out the problem. I spend around 30 minutes to an hour on this until I finally figured it out....
WHEN YOU FIRST UNBOX THE WATCH...
After you follow the prompts for pairing with your phone, plug the WATCH with the charger into your computer and go to Garmin Express. From here, you can update the watch's firmware. After that, turn the watch off/on. THEN you can install the apps. If you use your phone's bluetooth connection to update the firmware, it takes forever but you don't know it's still going on.
The watch has been great once I got it updated and loaded with everything I needed. I would add they need videos on how to install data screens. Now that i've done it, I understand it, but at first, I had to google a lot.

I’ve only had my watch for a few days but so far I love it. The design is sleek, smooth, and looks great with everything. The watch is super comfortable to wear and half the time I forget I’m wearing it. I love being able to pick from different activities and get accurate information from each activity all in one location (Garmin Connect). The ability to change the watch face is a must have feature because now I can make my watch look like any watch and still display all the data I want. The battery still hasn’t died and I have been using my watch since I bought it. I would HIGHLY recommend this watch to anyone wanting a fitness tracker

It's a whole new lifestyle!

I bought this four days ago and I am way more "activity driven" now. It made run really easy for me, I can sync with Runtastic and Spotify, don't need to keep carrying my phone around while running, and If at the end of the run I feel exausted and want to buy some electrolytes I can do it using Garmin Wallet. This is just freaking awesome.

I've only had this watch for just over a week, but so far I really like it. Chose this watch over other brands because of its ability to store Spotify playlists (offline), instead of requiring me to download owned music from a computer or being connected to my phone - I've had no problems with this. App works well so far too. Only thing I'm a bit disappointed in is the bluetooth range is not that great (at least for me). I can't go too far from my phone and still be connected to it to receive phone notifications. Also wish I could input my own text responses on the watch (maybe there is a way to do this - but it's not obvious to me). Overall happy with the purchase.

Still learning

Had it for about a week and still learning. One thing I can say is go to the website and print the PDF instructions. The book they send is the size of a match book and very hard to read. Still can’t figure out the music play option. Have to double check and make sure it’s charging when plugged in. If you bump the cord it stops charging. Battery pretty good. Last all day no hooked To Bluetooth. I wish the screen was a little brighter. I am finding it doesn’t also brighten up when I turn my wrist to look at it at night. Overall pretty happy with it. Will be more happy if I can figure out the music play since that’s mostly why I bought it.

Eh ok

Drops heart rate very often. During 5 mile runs I'm getting a max heart rate of 72 , no active energy recorded. Run again that same night , and its spot on. To unpredictable of a product in my opinion , I will. E returing it
