Great Watch... so far
on May 8, 2019

I am a new owner (4 days in), so I'm still learning a few things about the watch. I like all the features and the fact that I can listen/control my music from the watch. I like the size of the face because I have smaller wrists so it isn't so big that it's annoying. I owned an older Garmin running watch and this one is definitely an upgrade for me. I would definitely recommend this watch.

Great thus far. Lightweight. Sleek design. The screen is not near as vibrant as the pictures. The pictures are very misleading

I bought this watch a week ago. It's unexpectedly light in comparison to Garmin Vivomove HR which I own and the screen is readable at sunlight. Recommend it!

A great fitness tracker.

I came from a competitor's fitness tracker (the one with the analog watch face and ~12 day battery life), and this is an incredible improvement. Namely, it's the software *paired* with the good hardware.
My needs in a fitness watch/smart watch are pretty hard to meet:
>Multi-day battery life
>Multiple sport tracker modes
>GPS (preferable built into the device, but phone-tracking is fine)
>Accurate tracking -- I don't want to wear a wrist strap, I'm just here for the metrics
>Weight and size, I need it to be comfortable to be worn an entire week.
This watch meets those requirements. It might not be as invisible or inconspicuous as my prior watch, but it more than makes up for it in capabilities. It has in-built GPS, last's several days even with my hard routine, a great software suite to review my progress, and most importantly: it's accurate in measuring that progress.
This thing is feather-weight on the wrist and doesn't get in the way of my life, and I wear buttoned-down long-sleeve shirts with cuffs during the work week. It doesn't impose itself into my life.
I don't want to charge my watch every day, or even every other day. Here, with my routine of 16-18 GPS-tracked workout sessions a week (three ~40 minute walks + 1 run alternating every other work day), I'm getting ~3 days of battery, ~2 days if I want to leave my phone at the desk and use the music function.
I wanted it to work without me trying to janitor the thing, or fiddle with settings. The vivoactive 3 music gives me the smartwatch features I want without burdening me with yet another computing machine. Why do I want yet another extension of my phone? Vivoactive 3 Music, ain't that. It's a different species.
Negatives:
>It's vibration motor's default settings are insultingly bad. Even when tamed by lower settings, is still something out of 2010. I've been spoiled by all the "haptic feedback" motors of the second half of this decade, this thing is a weight-on-a-gimble given warp 9 thrust at "medium," I don't want to see what the next setting up is.
>That plastic casing keeps the weight down, but it's not pretty. It's tough, it does feel like a bit of thought went into the molding. You won't see those plastic creases. It's meant for sporting, easy to clean. It's also matte black, which helps make it look inconspicuously undistinguished -- so it won't leave a bad impression if it leaves no impression, right? It isn't stainless-steel-and-glass handsome.
>The tech world is moving toward a bezel-less society. This watch has bezels larger than Brazil.
>The screen is perfect for keeping the battery life high, but the pixels are showing. Pixels? In the year of our lord, 2019? This is an incredibly petty nit-pick, and I'm really reaching low in the barrel to find things to dislike!
I love it. I'm looking forward to using the thing in my daily routine.

Had an iWatch 3 already but wanted to see if I would like this better. It is more customizable with regards to faces but after having such a nice display on my iWatch it has been difficult to change. Features are nice and app is great......that display is a killer though

Sorry to hear about the issue that you are having with the device. Currently the top end of our display resolution is 240 x 240 pixels, which is less than what you had on your Apple Watch. We tend to focus more on the Fitness features when designing our products currently. Thank you for your feedback.
