I paid extra for the music version bc I thought it would be compatiable with Spotify. Huge bummer bc I read thsg Garmin introduced Spotify, but now I see it’s for the Foreruner and Fenix.

We understand that Spotify is a major player in music streaming and hope to be able to announce more compatible devices soon. Garmin is not able to force any music provider to come on board as this requires development from both Garmin, as well as the music provider. We hope to be able to meet the needs of all of our customers, regardless of what music service they use, but this will take time.
So far, it is a fantastic watch and I'm still getting used to using every day. The sleep tracking could be better but it than that, it is fantastic.

fantastic watch in every respect....easy to use, full of all essential fitness features, music and bluetooth work flawlessly...and the mobile and PC interfaces give me a great look at my daily and weekly activities. bravo. retiring my Fitbit for good.

The vivoactive 3 music excels in the multisport tracking department. I was especially happy with the Swimming functions, it is quite accurate and has SWOLF.

Best sports watch on the market

I starts with a positive that this by far has been the best sports watch I have tested this far. The only gripe I have against it is the fact that it's less smartwatch then one would expect. I paid alot to get an OK display and no other features but notifications and the ability to reply to text messages. I was expecting more of a smart watch but I guess that's because Garmin isnt using any of the leading brand OS's like Wear OS. I am not satisfied to the money I spent but happy with the product.

Glad to hear that you are giving the device a try, I would encourage you to contact us through our support site to give us specific information on features that you would like to see. As for the display it is a balance between sunlight readability, and battery life along with the ability to play music directly from the device without the use of a smartphone.

all in all, love the device

My biggest regret is not ordering the largest size wristband, at 5'10" 175 lbs I never dreamed I would need the largest size. As it is, I am having to use the very last hole. Otherwise I do love the watch and features.

The vivoactive 3 Music does use an industry standard 20 mm band size so it is easy to switch out the band to what size you are needing. There are many sites and retailers that should have the band size that you can purchase from.
