Everything I hoped for

Main goal is to use as a fitness tracker and I’m loving all the features so far. My watched a few YouTube tutorials before my first run. The touch screen was very easy to navigate to set up all the desired preferences. Need to do some research and choose a music carrier and set up or follow a few play lists, that’s my only disappointment I guess I was confused and didn’t pickup on that only the Fenix is currently Spotify app friendly. I easily synced my Bose wireless. Finding the Garmin app has a lot of neat features. Got this as a gift and was thinking I might return for the forerunner because it has more detailed running data however I am keeping it because it has everything I need.

Smaller than I actually thought. Seems to have a lot of nice features. Many retailers told me it worked with Spotify...it DOES NOT! This is pretty upsetting, but guess I should have done better research. Can use other music apps, but they are not as good as Spotify.

Had a bit of trouble getting the watch to connect to Garmin Connect on my phone but after that it has been great. It does so much more than my last Garmin. Putting my music on the watch was pretty simple. Went for my first run today without my phone. So great to have less to carry.

Not accurate

Heart rate is way off, steps are way off and activity level had me at resting after doing a half an hour on stairmill.

Great watch overall, a few minuses

Functionality is superb, this watch does everything it is advertised to do and does it well. My one complaint is that the vivoactive 3 music does not have Spotify support, for me that’s a huge negative. I would have given a 5/5 if/when Spotify support becomes available as I think I read somewhere it is in the works

Playing music is an issue

I got this watch as Christmas gift after considering it for some time. Based on reviews I read, I was hesitant as the music feature was so-so due to Bluetooth connectivity issues it’s only been a few days but my concerns have proven to be correct. If I’m sitting around my house the watch connects to my headphones perfectly. However, while walking the dog through my neighborhood they DIDN’T work more often than not. Haven’t tried it at the gym yet but so far very disappointed.

Very customizable

I go this watch less than a week ago but I already love it so much. I am an avid runner, who runs for fun and for school, but I also swim and bike on the side. I love that this watch can do all of that for me. You can change almost every aspect of this watch and that makes it so easy to use. The app it connects to is also a breeze to use.
If I could change one thing, it would be how you connect music to it. I almost solely use Spotify as my listening source for music and this watch does not support Spotify. The apps that are available require subscriptions to link them to your watch, so more money. You can put music on the watch but for some reason, half my library wasn’t showing up, and I really don’t have that great of music on my iTunes because I can just use Spotify. But I still love the watch and see that as a small inconvinience really.

Super disappointed

I was sure to do my research before I Selected this watch. I read everything about it on the garman website. There was a link to click to see which music apps were available with the watch. The link to see which apps are available with this watch is on the page describing this watch. No other watches are on that page, only the vivo active 3 music. So I clicked on the link and it takes me to a page that shows which music apps you can use, including spotify which is what I use for all of my music. I was so happy I finally found a watch compatible with spotify. So I ordered it well I just received it last week and come to find out it does not connect to spotify on the app it says that spotify is not compatible with this watch. That is a major disappointment and I hope that garment changes the list of music apps for this watch on their website.
