This has been an excellent laptop. I bought it for gaming and so far it has run every game at max resolution with no issue. Its fast, quiet (when I'm not gaming), and easy to set up and use. Love it!

Out of box system continually froze on YouTube videos. Called support. Was told to expect a return call within the day. Next day at 5AM support called when not in the office. They called again at 6AM. Never heard from them again. There is no support
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very happy with the Y740 I purchased approx 2 months ago. And being equipped with the 1660ti graphics, it consumes less power which means less heat. And when the fans do speed up, it becomes possible to hear them but they are still very quiet - a nice surprise. No problem playing a game while others watch TV. Very fast at video editing.
