Beautiful laptop. My only issue is that the pictures give a somewhat skewed keyboard size. Looks like a good size for keys etc, but for all the extra real-estate going with the 17" version, some of the keys feel a little small and close together. I have an older 17" laptop with an almost standard full size keyboard which makes full use of the larger sized top on this size of a laptop. A small thing but hard to get a good feel for this from a picture. I should have probably tried to find a display model I could actually get my hands on. Seems like a small thing but could have been a deal breaker even with the outstanding overall performance of this machine to date
Simple clean design that I really appreciate. System runs very cool with the games I've thrown at it so far on max settings (Apex, MWO).
Comes standard with a very nice display but it is a little pinched by the frame in the corners which causes some light bleed with really dark visuals/scenes.
Amazing laptop and certainly a wise choice to make while shopping for a powerful laptop. There’s only two small problems that I found being the low battery life (which normally comes with stronger machines) and the heat (but a good external fan system completely gets rid of this problem). For a uni student going into computor engineering and has only a few classes in which my laptop is needed there it’s a great purchase to make, as long you are able to charge it in class somewhere. If possible get a backpack that supports 20” since the battery sticks out at the back but I find 17.3” works fine but can be tight depending on the brand.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was actually quite disappointed with this laptop. I should have compared the specs before I bought it, and it turns out it is only marginally better than my 10 year old Lenovo Y74 gaming laptop, and at least the old one has a touch screen. I set it up and it’s sitting unused. Speaking of setup, I hate being forced to use a Microsoft account - this really annoyed me to no end.

I don't think I got a new one. Because the battery's life is very weak. Eating half of battery every hour.

Let me start by saying what I like about the laptop. ICUE, The Legion logo and how the lid sit out to 180 degree. Yes, the specs like processors, ram and graphics card are good. But, you can’t tell much about the performance unless you try a demanding game on it. Also, I like the weight of it, being a 17” laptop, it’s lighter than most of the similar gaming laptop. Now what I don’t like about it? It’s look- outside or inside. The top of the lid is so simple for a gaming and high performing laptop. Keyboard layout is so simple, even their thinkpad has better looking laptop. It seems like they are compensating the so basic looking keyboar by their ICUE. Feels like a lot of space wastage around the keyboard. The trackpad that came with the laptop initially was faulty. The trackpad was not responding from time to time. The right and left buttons were sunk in. You can feel the edge of the trackpad above the laptop surface. Anyways, I brought the laptop for servicing and they replaced the trackpad. Yet, the trackpad looks a cheap one. The edge of the pad at the right and left key is quit sharp and will annoy you from time to time. Overall, they tried to save money as much they could with the look and outer material.

Just getting started with this laptop. So far so good. Takes a bit of adjusting to use the keyboard, but I like the feel of it. I was quite surprised how quickly the set -up was. The screen is awesome. I really liked the look and feel of the machine overall, especially the rear ports layout.
