Excellent upgrade

I have been using a Garmin Edge 820+ for years until the battery life finally started to go downhill. So far the new 830 has been excellent. No issues setting it up (immediately connected and synced with my Garmin Connect), touchscreen works great, long battery life. While working fulltime in May I was able to log over 700 miles commuting for May is Bike Month and only had to charge my computer once a week (including longer weekend rides).
So far I'm extremely happy with the upgrade.

Great head unit for Mountain, Road, and Indoor training

The features are great with the 830, especially the map and integration with Trailforks. It has lost contact with my sensors during a ride, losing data. That's apparently an issue for others that typically is resolved with a reset of the system or disconnect/reconnect the sensor.

Not as fancy as Garmin's top of the line computer. However, I go riding 2-5 times a week for fun and this has the perfect amount of bells and whistles to keep me satisfied without overwhelming me.

I was nervous at first about the touch screen due to some issues that were reported with previous models, but the touch screen works as intended 99% of the time. All the bells and whistles included have been great and would highly recommend this model.

I just started mountain biking on single trail and was looking at GPS for my bike. I chose the Edge 830 because it had it all and can be used on my road bike. It's small enough to not get in the way but the screen is still easily readable.
