I really do love the garmin... However it does kinda freeze on me from time to time.. did just get like a couple of months ago... Also it does not do well in colder weather... Like under 40 degrees

Great features, constant connection issues

I love my edge 830 when it is working. They have updated it from past models, added features, and extended battery life. But lots of connection issues with my iPhone. They are blaming apple (and their recent release of iOS 13 but I have had issues with multiple garmin devices and multiple iOS versions.

Lots of Features, but buggy

Bought it in mid-July. Everything was great until the first Garmin Connect App update. From then it was hit or miss if it would connect bluetooth to my Iphone X. Have to erase the connection on the Iphone and Garmin then re-pair. Have do this this everytime the app or the iOS gets an update, else it would not connect. There should be a better way.

I have been using the Garmin 830 since early August 2019 and liked it so much that I bought a second one for my wife. Continuous connectivity to the phone remains challenging.

Great Features, but why won't it stay connected?

I love the overall feel of the unit and using it, the ability to route mountain bike trails is awesome, and trail forks integration fantastic. The one problem I have is several of the better features (like tracking and communicating with friends on a ride) require smart phone integration and this unit rather frequently (I would say most of the time) fails to connect to my iOS 12 device. I have tried every offered step to pair and unpair the device, delete the app etc.. it might stay working for a ride or two, but then stops again.

Great but unstable software

When I leave the devise on, after it shuts down by itself it is imposible to turn it on only by pressing the power button (one touch). I need to keep on pressing more than 20 seconds to restart
