Great computer can be a little hard to navigate. Battery life is fantastic as well as the display. Great computer for the money and you have the garmin name backing the product you know you can trust it.

Makes exploring new trail systems so much more enjoyable!

There is nothing worse than checking out a new trail system and having to pull your cell phone out at every intersection to see where you're going. The Edge 830 makes riding so much more continuous and enjoyable-you always know what you're getting yourself into on the trail.
I docked 1 point for the lack of a "birdseye" view-it's hard to see the big picture of where you are, and where you're heading on the small screen.
Otherwise, would highly recommend. Seriously makes riding so much more continuous and enjoyable.

Great features and capabilities

Really enjoy using this head unit and kind of kicking myself for going so many years without one. Highly recommend going through all of the initial setup and exploring the features, because there are quite a lot! Very happy with the battery life and how customizable you can get with the different screen options. The only issue I've had is that wireless sync'ing had some issues after I downloaded a file that it didn't like, but it was most likely a corrupted file. I was able to fix it by using the manual upload option and clearing out my cache of old files, and now the wireless syncing works great again.
I have the mount flipped around toward me in this picture because of my bikepacking setup, normally I have it out front and it fits easily around my mounted phone on a Quadlock (I like to take lots of pictures!). This device saves me a lot of navigation headaches and saves my phone a lot of battery life!

Love the size and battery life. I needed something that I can see in the sun, not too big, and has a long battery life for me to finish my ride. This meets all my expectations. It fits nicely on my handle bar, not too big and have a great battery life that last my whole ride. My biggest concern was battery life and the ability to see the map and ride info. This devise did not disappoint .

I was looking for a speedometer for my bike, I ended up getting so much more. It's really fun and convenient to be able to add so many different sensors to the computer.

I use this in tandem with Strava to track rides. I like the way it pairs with a phone and provides information such as the ability to read (at least part of) a text message and respond with one of a few pre programmed responses. At least the person who texted me knows I got their message.
