Love this computer!

This is my first cycling computer & I love it. It is easy to link to all of my sensors & have live data on my rides. I charge it after any long ride, but the battery life seems to last a while. The touch screen is convenient & my family loves the live track feature!

Great bike computer

I had the non touch screen and it wasn't intuitive. This is intuitive and easy to use while on the bike. Love the nav system. Have had trouble with some connect features. The livetrack is a little disappointing. However, this bike computer is worth every penny.

Staying true to garmin quality

Whether you are lost and trying to navigate your way back to the trail head, navigating roads, navigating trails, or just looking to record your rides, this device can do it all. if you're like me you like all the nerdy stats and data. With the bundle you can get more accurate speed, Cadence and heart rate data. combine that with the Garmin app and you have a plethora of physiological data to comb through. The device will actually even record jump data including hangtime, distance, and speed.
it all syncs seamlessly with the app on your phone. you are an iPhone user, the data can easily be imported to your Apple health app. (note that apple health data cannot be imported to thr garmin app)
also, this unit does function fairly decent as a standalone GPS unit. I have used it several times on hiking trips.

Overall, a very nice unit. I am annoyed occasionally when I am attempting to restart with a manual button and inadvertently touch the screen and save the ride. I plan to provide Garmin with feedback that in my opinion you should have an additionally option to go back to continue riding or proceed to save the ride.
I also rode in some brief rain showers and water appears to have penetrated the screen and I assume this will likely lead to the unit failing. I had a similar issue with a Garmin FR235 a few years ago that had been in use two or three years.

Great GPS and Cycling Computer. The mount is easily adjustable and the large screen is legible when riding trails or roads alike in bright sun or sunset. I'd highly recommend the 830's touch screen (which you can lock if need be) over the manual button control for ease of use while riding. The silicon cover that comes with it doesn't feel like it'd protect the screen in a particularly nasty fall.

Great Biking GPS Unit

A really great addition to my biking hobby. I use it for navigating on unknown trails and a trainer (Wahoo Kicker). While navigation, sometimes the unit gets confused when I am slightly off the path and asks me to do a u-turn. In general Edge 830 is a solid device and I will take it with me in every ride.
